What's next?

Side Story: Ruby Arrives

Ruby had received a call from her mother, Rachel, earlier that day, claiming that there was a medical emergency and that she needed to come home immediately. Worried and concerned for her mother, Ruby rushed to pack a small bag and drove straight home. As she stood outside the door to her childhood home, her heart raced with anticipation and fear of what she might find inside.

She took a deep breath and rang the doorbell, waiting anxiously for someone to answer. After a few moments, she heard footsteps coming towards the door, and it opened to reveal a young man she had never seen before. Her eyes widened in shock and confusion as she looked up at him.

"Hi, you must be Ruby," the man said, smiling at her. "I'm Jake, an acquaintance of your mother's. She's been looking forward to your visit."

Ruby was taken aback. She had never heard her mother mention anyone named Jake before, and the fact that he was a stranger made her feel uncomfortable. She stepped back slightly, eyeing him warily.

"Uh, yeah, I'm Ruby," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "Is my mom okay? She said there was a medical emergency."

Jake nodded, his smile faltering slightly. "Your mom is fine now, don't worry. It turned out to be a false alarm, but she wanted you to come home and check on her anyway. She's inside, if you want to go see her."

Ruby hesitated for a moment, still feeling uneasy about this stranger's presence in her home. But her concern for her mother overrode her instincts, and she nodded slowly.

"Okay, thanks," she said, stepping past him into the house.

As she walked down the hallway towards the living room, she couldn't help but feel like something was off. Her mother's behavior, the sudden emergency, and the presence of this stranger all seemed suspicious to her. She didn't know what was going on, but she knew she needed to find out.

Ruby was relieved to see her mother looking well, standing in the kitchen and humming softly to herself as she stirred a pot on the stove. The familiar aroma of garlic and tomatoes filled the air, and Ruby's mouth watered as she approached her mother.

"Hey Mom, it's so good to see you. How are you feeling?" Ruby asked, giving her mother a tight hug.

"I'm much better now that you're here, darling," Rachel replied, returning the hug. "I was so worried about you driving all this way on such short notice. Did you have any trouble finding the place?"

"No, it was an easy drive," Ruby said, looking around the kitchen. "I see you're making my favorite dinner. You didn't have to go to all this trouble, Mom."

"Of course I did, I want to celebrate the fact that you're here with me," Rachel said, giving Ruby a warm smile. "It's been too long since we had a chance to catch up properly. How's college been treating you?"

Ruby launched into a detailed account of her classes and social life, excitedly describing the latest events on campus. Rachel listened intently, nodding and asking questions as she chopped vegetables and stirred the sauce.

As they talked, Ruby couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort with Jake's presence in the house. She tried to ignore the way he stared at her, his eyes lingering on her body for just a moment too long. But every time she caught his gaze, she felt a shiver run down her spine.

Despite her unease, Ruby tried to focus on the conversation with her mother, pushing aside her discomfort for the sake of their reunion. She could tell that Rachel was happy to have her home, and she didn't want to spoil the mood with her own misgivings.

Finally, Rachel announced that dinner was ready, and they sat down to enjoy the meal together. Ruby savored every bite of her mother's cooking, feeling a sense of comfort and safety in her presence.

As they sat down to dinner, Ruby took a deep breath and savored the familiar aroma of her mother's cooking. She looked around the kitchen and noticed that everything was just as she remembered it, from the colorful ceramic plates to the vintage Coca-Cola sign on the wall. The warm, cozy atmosphere made her feel instantly at home.

As they ate, Ruby couldn't help but ask, "Mom, where's Dad? Why isn't he here?"

Rachel took a deep breath and looked down at her plate for a moment before answering. "Well, sweetheart, your dad and I had a bit of a fight. He's staying with your uncle for a while."

Ruby looked at her mother, surprised. Her parents had always been affectionate and loving towards each other, so the idea of them fighting was unsettling.

Rachel quickly added, "But don't worry, everything will be fine. We just needed some time apart to cool off. And Jake here has been so kind to me in your father's absence."

Ruby turned to Jake, who was sitting across from her. She noticed that he was watching her intently, and a shiver ran down her spine as she saw the way he was looking at her mother. It was a look of possession, as if Rachel belonged to him and him alone. She quickly looked away, feeling uncomfortable under his gaze.

The rest of the dinner was pleasant enough. They chatted about Ruby's college life, catching up on everything she had missed while she was away. Rachel was in high spirits, clearly relieved to have her daughter back home safe and sound. Ruby, on the other hand, couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. There was an undercurrent of tension between her mother and Jake, and she couldn't help but wonder what was really going on.

As they finished their meal, Rachel stood up and announced, "Time for dessert! I made your favorite apple pie, Ruby."

Ruby smiled weakly, still feeling uneasy. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, but she didn't want to ruin the mood by bringing it up. She followed her mother into the living room, trying to ignore the gnawing sense of dread in the pit of her stomach.

As they ate the apple pie, Ruby couldn't help but glance at Jake from time to time. She wondered what he was doing here, taking care of her mother like this. There was something about him that made her feel uncomfortable, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"Thank you for taking care of my mom, Jake," Ruby said, trying to be polite. "It was really kind of you."

Jake smiled at her, but his eyes seemed to be lingering a bit too long on her face. "It was my pleasure, Ruby. Your mother is a wonderful person. "

Ruby nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. But as the conversation continued, she couldn't help but notice the way her mother was looking at Jake. It was a look of adoration, as if she were completely devoted to him. It made Ruby feel uncomfortable, like she was intruding on something intimate.

As they finished dessert, Rachel spoke up. "Ruby, I'm so glad you're home. I was thinking... since we don't have a lot of space, would you mind sharing your old room with Jake? He's been staying in the guest room, but it's just so cramped and uncomfortable."

Ruby looked at her mother, stunned. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Share a room with Jake? The man who had been eyeing her up all evening, the man who seemed to have some kind of hold over her mother?

"I... I don't know, Mom," Ruby stammered. "I mean, I just got back and I'm really tired. I don't think I could handle sharing a room with someone right now."

Rachel looked at her pleadingly. "Please, Ruby. It's just for a few nights. And I promise, nothing will happen. Jake is a perfect gentleman."

Ruby hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. She felt trapped, caught between her mother's desperate need for Jake and her own discomfort at the idea of sharing a room with him. Finally, she relented.

"Okay, Mom," she said quietly. "I'll do it. But just for a few nights, okay? And nothing weird is going to happen, right Jake?"

Jake grinned at her, but there was something sinister lurking behind his eyes. "Of course not, Ruby. We're just two people sharing a room. Nothing to worry about."

As they finished their pie, Rachel suggested that they all go to Ruby's room to help her settle in. Ruby hesitantly agreed, still feeling uneasy around Jake.

When they entered the room, Ruby was shocked to see that most of her clothes were gone. Her closet, which used to be full of clothes, was now nearly empty, with only a few items remaining. She turned to her mother, confused and upset. "Mom, where are all my clothes? What happened to them?"

Rachel looked down, guilt written on her face. "I'm sorry, Ruby. I got rid of them. I thought it was time for a change, and I wanted to surprise you with a new wardrobe."

Ruby felt a knot form in her stomach. Her clothes were one of the few things she had left from high school, and the idea of them being thrown away without her permission made her feel violated. She couldn't help but wonder what else her mother had changed while she was away.

Rachel quickly added, "But don't worry, we can go shopping in the morning and get you some new clothes. It'll be fun, just like old times."

Ruby forced a smile, but inside she was seething with frustration. She didn't want new clothes, she wanted her old ones back. She wanted things to be the way they used to be, before everything got so complicated.

As they started to unpack Ruby's bags, Rachel suggested that Ruby and Jake share the bed for the night, since they didn't have an extra beds. Ruby hesitated, but eventually agreed. As she climbed into bed next to Jake, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong. She tried to push it out of her mind and go to sleep, but her thoughts kept racing. She couldn't wait to leave and go back to college in the morning.

As Ruby drifted off to sleep, Rachel watched from the doorway, a small smile playing on her lips. She was pleased that her plan was working, and that she had finally found a way to keep Jake in her life for good. As she closed the door and went to bed, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. But the lure of Jake was too strong, and she knew she would do anything to keep him by her side.

As the night wore on, Ruby lay stiff and still beside Jake, too afraid to move. Every time she closed her eyes, she felt his hand creeping up her thigh or his breath on the back of her neck. She knew it was wrong, but she was too paralyzed by fear to do anything about it.

Jake, on the other hand, slept soundly. A few hours into the night he began snoring softly beside her. Ruby couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal as she watched him sleep. He was supposed to be helping her family, but instead, he was the one she needed protection from.

Morning came too soon, and Ruby felt as though she had barely slept at all. She was exhausted and drained, and she couldn't help but feel resentful towards Jake for robbing her of a peaceful night's sleep.

As she got out of bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, she noticed that Jake was already up and dressed. He looked well-rested and alert, and Ruby couldn't help but feel a sense of envy towards him.

Rachel came into the room, looking bright and cheery. "Good morning, you two! Did you sleep well?"

Ruby hesitated for a moment before answering, not wanting to give Jake the satisfaction of knowing he had gotten under her skin. "Not really, Mom. I was too tired to sleep properly."

Rachel frowned sympathetically. "I'm sorry, honey. It's probably just because you're not used to the bed anymore. We can get you a new one if you'd like."

Ruby forced a smile, grateful for her mother's concern. "That's okay, Mom. It's not a big deal."

Jake spoke up, his voice smooth and confident. "I slept just fine, Rachel. In fact, I thought the bed was very comfortable."

Rachel smiled at him appreciatively. "Well, that's good to hear, Jake. I'm glad you were able to get a good night's rest."

Ruby couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust towards Jake as she watched him interact with her mother. He was so smooth and charming, but she knew it was all an act. Underneath the surface, he was a manipulative and controlling monster, and she knew she had to find a way to get away from him before it was too late.

Ruby walked out of her room wearing a crop top that was a size too small and a pair of high-waisted shorts. The outfit was old and had seen better days, but it was one of the few things she had left after her mother had thrown away most of her clothes. The outfit was tight and revealing, and Ruby could feel Jake's eyes on her as soon as she walked into the kitchen.

Rachel was cheerily making breakfast, completely oblivious to the tension between her daughter and Jake. As they sat down to eat, Jake made a comment about how nice Ruby looked in her outfit, and Ruby could feel herself blushing under his gaze. Rachel smiled, agreeing with Jake and commenting on how grown up Ruby looked.

As they ate, Jake made suggestive comments towards Ruby, pushing the boundaries of what was appropriate. "That outfit looks great on you, but I bet it would look even better on my bedroom floor."

Ruby looked at him, startled, and Rachel looked up from her plate, smiling. "Oh, Jake, you're such a tease," she said, somehow completely missing the suggestive undertones of his comment.

Jake grinned at Rachel and turned back to Ruby. "What do you say, Ruby? Want to come back to my place?"

Ruby felt her skin crawl as Jake's eyes lingered on her, and she quickly looked away. "Uh, no thanks, Jake. I'm good," she mumbled.

Rachel didn't seem to notice anything wrong, and she continued chatting away about their plans for the day. But Ruby couldn't shake the feeling of unease as Jake's words echoed in her mind. She knew she was trapped in this house with him, and there was no telling what he might do next.

After breakfast, Rachel suggested that they all head to the mall to get Ruby some new clothes. Ruby agreed, eager to get out of her current outfit and into something more comfortable. She reminded her mother that most of her clothes were gone, and Rachel apologized, assuring her that they would find her some new clothes today.

As they got into the car, Ruby found herself sitting in the back seat with Jake, feeling trapped and uncomfortable. She could feel his eyes on her, but she couldn't bring herself to look at him. She tried to focus on the passing scenery outside, anything to distract her from the uncomfortable situation she was in.

As they entered the mall, Ruby tried to keep her spirits up, but she was already exhausted from the lack of sleep the night before. Jake seemed to be in good spirits, however, as he led the way to the first store.

He pulled out a pair of high-waisted shorts and a crop top, holding them up for Ruby to see. "What do you think?" he asked, a sly smile on his face.

Ruby hesitated, feeling uncomfortable with how revealing the outfit was. "I don't know, Jake. It might be a little too much."

But Rachel chimed in before Ruby could protest further. "Oh, I think it's adorable, Jake. Ruby would look so cute in that!"

Jake grinned triumphantly and took the outfit to the counter. As they walked to the next store, he began suggesting more outfits for Ruby, each one more revealing than the last. Rachel agreed with every suggestion, leaving Ruby feeling powerless to protest.

At the next store, Jake picked out a tight-fitting red dress that left little to the imagination. "I think this would look amazing on you, Ruby," he said, holding the dress up to her.

Ruby shook her head, feeling overwhelmed. "I don't know, Jake. It's too tight, and it's not really my style."

But Jake brushed off her objections, insisting that she try it on. Rachel nodded in agreement, leaving Ruby feeling like she had no choice but to comply.

At the third store, Jake pulled out a pair of ripped jeans and a low-cut tank top. "This would look so hot on you, Ruby," he said, grinning at her.

Ruby's discomfort was growing by the minute, but she didn't know how to make it stop. She reluctantly followed Jake and Rachel around the store as they continued to pick out more revealing outfits, each one making her feel more and more exposed.

Finally, after what seemed like hours of shopping, they left the mall, Ruby carrying multiple bags of clothing she never would have chosen for herself. She couldn't help but feel like a different person, like she was no longer in control of her own life.

On the drive back from the mall, Rachel looked at the bags of new clothes and said, "I'm glad you found some new outfits, Ruby. You look so pretty in them."

Jake leaned forward and added, "Yeah, I can't wait to see you in all of them. You should do a little fashion show when we get back."

Ruby rolled her eyes and protested, "I don't want to do a fashion show. That's so stupid."

Jake sternly interrupted her, "Don't be rude, Ruby. Your mother paid for all these clothes, and the least you can do is show them off."

Rachel hesitantly agreed, "I think Jake's right, Ruby. It would be nice to see you in all your new outfits."

Ruby sighed, feeling trapped. She looked out the window, wishing she could just go back to college.

As they drove, Jake reached out his hand and placed it on Rachel's thigh. Ruby's eyes widened in shock and horror. She couldn't believe what she was seeing, and her face twisted in disgust. She scooted away from Jake, as far as she could in the back seat, trying to create as much distance as possible. Jake noticed her reaction and smirked, relishing in the power he had over both Rachel and Ruby. Rachel remained oblivious, her eyes focused on the road ahead.

Ruby couldn't help but feel trapped and helpless, stuck in this car with her mother who seemed to be completely under Jake's control. She felt sick to her stomach, her mind racing with thoughts of what he might do next. She wanted nothing more than to escape, to run as far away from Jake as possible. But she knew she was trapped, and she had no choice but to go along with whatever sick games he had planned.

Ruby reluctantly followed her mother upstairs, carrying the bag of new clothes. She tried to protest again, but Rachel just laughed and said, "It'll be fun, trust me." Ruby sighed, feeling defeated. She didn't want to do this, but it seemed like she didn't have a choice. As they walked up the stairs, Ruby couldn't shake the feeling that she was walking towards her own doom. The bag of clothes felt heavy in her hand, as if it was weighing her down.

After changing into her first outfit, Ruby made her way downstairs to where Jake was lounging on the couch. The outfit was a light pink color and the shorts were tight, hugging her curves in all the wrong ways. The top was tight and showed off her midriff, revealing a small belly button piercing. Ruby felt incredibly self-conscious and exposed. She couldn't help but feel like she was wearing something meant for someone much more confident than her. Every step felt like a spotlight was shining on her, casting her in a harsh, unforgiving light.

Jake's eyes lit up as he saw her, and he told her to strike a pose for him. Ruby hesitated for a moment before awkwardly raising her arms and standing on her tiptoes. She felt ridiculous, but Jake seemed to be enjoying it. He told her to turn around and show off the outfit, and Ruby felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. Her stomach churned as she imagined what he was thinking, what he wanted from her. She felt like a piece of meat, like she was on display for his amusement.

The pose made her legs look longer and drew attention to her midriff, highlighting the piercing. Her body felt on full display and she could see Jake staring at her with an intense gaze. It made her feel like he was undressing her with his eyes, taking in every inch of her body. Ruby felt disgusted, but also couldn't help but feel a twinge of something else - a strange kind of excitement that made her feel even more ashamed. She hated herself for it, but couldn't help the way her body was reacting. It made her feel like she was losing control, like she was slipping further and further into a nightmare.

As Ruby looked over at her mother, she noticed that Rachel was beaming with pride. It was as if she was looking at a work of art, rather than her own daughter. Ruby couldn't help but wonder if her mother was in on this whole thing, if she was enjoying the display as much as Jake was. She felt like she was trapped in a sick, twisted game, and she didn't know how to get out.

Rachel surprised everyone as she spoke, "Why don't you fix up your makeup for the next one, sweetie?"

Jake's eyes lit up with interest and he agreed, "We need to make sure you're looking your best," he said.

Ruby groaned inwardly but obediently headed to the bathroom to touch up her makeup. She applied a thick layer of black eyeliner to bring out the shape of her eyes and put on a bright red lipstick that made her lips look fuller. The combination of the makeup and the outfit emphasized her youthful features, from her full lips to her high cheekbones. She was surprised at how good she looked and felt a small surge of confidence.

When Ruby emerged from the bathroom, Jake whistled appreciatively. The second outfit was a tight-fitting red dress with a low-cut neckline that showed off her ample cleavage. It had a slit that reached mid-thigh, revealing her toned legs. Ruby felt exposed and vulnerable, but there was something about the attention Jake was giving her that made her feel special. She tried to push those thoughts aside as she made her way back to the living room.

Jake's eyes roamed over her body hungrily as she approached. He told her to strike another pose, and Ruby did so, feeling more confident this time. She twisted her body to the side, one hand resting on her hip, and looked directly into Jake's eyes. He seemed pleased with her effort and told her to turn around and show off the dress from the back.

Ruby complied, feeling a shiver run down her spine as Jake's eyes lingered on her behind. She tried not to think about how exposed she was, or how close Jake was to her. Instead, she focused on the way her body looked in the dress - curvy, sensual, and undeniably sexy.

As Ruby twirled and posed for Jake's amusement, she couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement coursing through her. It was wrong, she knew that, but there was something undeniably thrilling about the way Jake was looking at her. She tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on the task at hand, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to resist the pull of Jake's intense gaze.

As she finished her dance, she felt a sudden wave of nausea wash over her. She stumbled slightly, and Jake caught her arm, steadying her. His touch made her skin crawl, and she pulled away from him as quickly as she could. Jake's smirk faltered for a moment, but then he just laughed and told her to change into the next outfit.

Ruby was still catching her breath from her dance when Jake told her he had a surprise for her final outfit. He snapped his fingers and Rachel snapped to attention. Ruby watched as her mother slowly reached down to grab a small bag by her feet before walking over to hand it to Ruby. She took it hesitantly and peered inside, feeling her heart sink as she saw what was inside. A black cross strappy bikini with a skirted bottom. It was the kind of swimsuit she'd seen in magazines but never dared to wear herself. She felt paralyzed with fear.

Jake urged her to try it on, saying it would be the perfect way to end the fashion show. Ruby felt a knot form in her stomach as she slowly made her way to the bathroom to change. She hesitated for a moment, staring at her reflection in the mirror, before taking a deep breath and slipping into the bikini.

The top was made of thin straps that crisscrossed over her chest, barely covering her nipples. The bottom was a skirted style that barely covered her butt, leaving her legs and hips exposed. Her pale skin was a stark contrast to the jet black bikini that barely covered her body. The thin straps of the top crisscrossed over her chest, leaving her nipples poking through.

She took a deep breath and tried to compose herself, but her heart was racing and her hands were shaking. She felt completely exposed and vulnerable, like a piece of meat on display for Jake's pleasure. The red lipstick and heavy eyeliner made her eyes look even bigger and more doe-like, but also made her feel like a clown.

She wondered how she had ended up here, in this nightmare of a situation. She had always been shy and introverted, never one for attention or being in the spotlight. But now she was being forced to show off her body to a man she barely knew, and she didn't know how to get out of it.

Ruby tried to hold back tears as she stared at her reflection, feeling trapped and helpless. She could hear Jake's voice in the other room, telling her to hurry up and come out. She took one last deep breath and opened the door, stepping out into the living room to face her worst fears.

When she finally reached the living room, Jake was grinning from ear to ear. "Wow, Ruby, you look amazing," he said, his voice low and husky. "I think this one might be my favorite."

Ruby's heart sank as she realized that Jake was enjoying this, that he was getting off on her discomfort and humiliation. She began to wonder why her mother would allow this to happen, before realizing that Rachel was no longer downstairs. She wanted to scream and cry, to run away and never come back. But she was frozen in place, unable to move or speak waiting for Jake's approval.

After a few moments, Jake told her to turn around, and Ruby felt her cheeks flush as she slowly spun around for him. He urged her to pose in different positions, making her arch her back and thrust out her hips. She felt like she was performing for him, like a puppet on a string.

Ruby felt trapped, like there was no way out of this situation. She couldn't bring herself to protest or say no to Jake, even though every fiber of her being was screaming at her to run away. She felt like she was being swallowed up by the black bikini, like it was consuming her.

Finally, Jake told her to dance for him, and Ruby felt her stomach turn with fear. She tried to refuse, but he sternly interrupted her and told her to do as he said. Ruby began to move hesitantly at first, but as the music grew louder, she found herself getting lost in the rhythm.

She danced for Jake, feeling like she was in a trance. Her body moved fluidly, twisting and turning to the music. She could feel his eyes on her, watching her every move, and she couldn't help but feel a strange thrill of excitement coursing through her. She was disgusted with herself for enjoying it, but she couldn't stop.

The dance went on for what felt like hours, and Ruby was drenched in sweat by the time it was over. She collapsed onto the floor, feeling like a shell of her former self. She didn't know how much longer she could take this, but she knew that she was trapped in this nightmare with no escape.

As she began to catch her breath, Ruby noticed that her mother was nowhere to be seen. Shocked that she could have been so oblivious, Ruby nervously asked Jake, "Where's my mom?"

"Good timing, I hear her coming down the stairs now," Jake replied with a grin.

Ruby couldn't believe her eyes as she saw watched her mother walking down the stairs, wearing the same cross strappy bikini with a skirted bottom as her. She had never seen Rachel dress like this before and she felt a mixture of shock and embarrassment wash over her. As she looked at her mother, she couldn't help but notice the differences in their bodies.

Rachel's curves were more pronounced than Ruby's, and the outfit hugged her body. Her ample breasts strained against the fabric of the top, and her hips swayed as she walked. Ruby couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as Jake's gaze lingered on her mother. It was like he couldn't get enough of the two of them together.

Despite the matching outfits, there were clear differences between Rachel and Ruby's bodies. Rachel's skin was tanner than Ruby's pale complexion, and the black fabric of the outfit contrasted beautifully with it. Rachel had fuller curves, while Ruby was more athletic in build. The slit of Rachel's skirted bottom went higher up her thighs, revealing more skin. Ruby couldn't shake the feeling that Jake was enjoying this too much.

As Rachel bounced around in excitement, Ruby couldn't help but notice how her outfit shifted with each movement. The skirt of her skirted bottom bounced up, revealing more of her toned thighs, and the thin straps of her top shifted around, barely covering her nipples. Rachel's enthusiasm was contagious, but Ruby couldn't shake off the feeling of discomfort and unease.

"Ruby, you look so good in that outfit!" Rachel exclaimed, still bouncing around. "I wish I had a body like yours. I feel like I look like a sausage in this thing."

Ruby forced a small smile, feeling self-conscious as Rachel complimented her appearance. "Thanks, Mom. You look great too," she replied, trying to be supportive.

Jake watched the exchange with a smirk on his face, clearly enjoying the way the two women were interacting. "You both look incredible," he said, his eyes lingering on Ruby's body.

Rachel giggled and twirled around. "We do look like twins, don't we?"

Ruby forced a laugh, but inside she was feeling sick to her stomach. She couldn't help but notice how her mother's body looked different from hers in the same outfit. Rachel's curves were more pronounced, her hips wider and her chest fuller. Ruby felt like a child compared to her.

Finally, Rachel turned to Jake and asked, "What do you want to do now?"
