I made it about two weeks before I decided something needed to change. She was right, I was making more money, but I was less happy. I missed her. I told my boss I could no longer take on the extra work and that he would have to find a replacement. It wasn't until the next evening that I saw her again. I was on discord with some friends when I heard the door open. We were playing a game so I was focused on the screen.
