Katherine and Freya had travelled west heading towards Thaden's encampment to try and convince him to stop the conflict with the Amazons. When they arrived they were stopped and Thaden was summoned as he approached her and smiled seeing Katherine" Katherine long time no see you are a bit far from the ocean." Katherine returned the smile "And you are far from the brothels of Kalami!" she replied. Thaden laughed and signalled for the two women to be allowed in. Once in his tent, Thaden got down to why they had come to see him."Well Thaden we need your help with a little matter." said Katherine. "Well I see as you have brought General Freya here I am guessing it involves the Amazons?" Katherine smiled that he knew who her companion was."Yes, Thaden, it concerns the Amazons as you have surmised it will also help you unless you want to be ruled by Chasin and Pragar as they now have a treaty."

Thaden looked at them before replying "And what else do I get for me and my people." Freya stood up "Lord Thaden if you help us I give you my word as military advisor to Queen Arerto that we will make the river Junice a permanent natural border between our lands." Thaden regarded this before replying " Katherine I trust but General I don't know you but I do know that once an Amazon gives her word only **** will break that word. I also know that once the word is given even the Queen will not break that word. So what is it you want?" Katherine spoke up "All we need is your army to appear on the border of Pragars realm to act as a distraction while we organise an extraction from her capital." Thaden watched as Freya went to his table and took a parchment and quill and wrote on it. It was basically a ceasefire between Thaden's troops and Amazon troops and she signed it. "In two days take this to General Jasmine she will be expecting you."

After the meeting, Thaden had given them fresh horses and they rode back the way they come travelling east to the river Junice so that Freya could meet with Jasmine. Once they arrived they waited until dark because they would have to sneak into the Amazon camp which was easier with Freya there. "So general we have Thaden onboard do you think we can get your General Jasmine on our side?" Freya looked at Katherine "General Jasmine will not be the problem and at least half of the army will follow her. It's the other half I am concerned with as they are pretty green and do not understand what's right and what they swore an oath to" Katherine just smiled as Freya continued "That said they will follow the orders of their commander so we should be alright." Katherine and Freya had some food and water and discussed Arerto, Freya then asked "What apart from fulfilling a promise to Arerto do you hope to gain?" Katherine thought on this "Peace and happiness I grow tired in my twilight years General" They waited for the night to come.
