Abbie works on getting free drinks
Tyler slowly strode back toward Abbie with a smile. He'd been a bartender for a while, so all the conversations, all the games, the flirting, the interactions -- he'd seen and done it all before. And yet, there was something about Abbie that intrigued him. Plus she was a knockout, so at the very least, he was happy to ogle her and chat.
"Hi again, Tyler," said Abbie sweetly.
"Hey Abbie," he said. He glanced up to Jake and Chris. "Hey guys."
Abbie leaned forward onto the bar, stretching her arms out and resting her elbows on the surface. At this angle, she had her head slightly forward, and her eyes up to look at Tyler. He stood upright, and at this position, was several inches taller than where Abbie had perched herself. He rested his hands on the bar and bent forward slightly, closing the gap between them.
"I'm not sure it's the best idea," said Abbie, "but my boys here want to get another round."
"Two more Sams?" Tyler asked, looking to Jake and Chris, who nodded in approval. "And what about you, Abbie?"
"I mean, I'm on vacation ..." she said.
"No rules then, right?" Tyler said.
Abbie giggled. "Right! No rules."
Tyler shrugged. "Are you staying in the hotel here?"
Abbie nodded. "I am."
"Then no worries about whether you're fit to drive," Tyler said with a light sigh.
"True enough," said Abbie. "It's just one easy elevator ride." She began swaying her upper body from side to side as she rested on the bar.
Tyler smirked, and looked off to the side. "You know, you're ... uh ..." He brought his eyes back to Abbie's face and leaned in closer, locking his gaze on hers.
"I'm ... what?" said Abbie, blinking slowly.
He spoke slowly, amused by the circumstance. "I think I know the answer to this but ..." He trailed off and paused.
"But ... what?" said Abbie, again playing coy.
Tyler looked up, then off to the side, then back to Abbie's face. "You know what you're doing."
Abbie shook her head, but smiled. "What am I doing?"
"Come on," he said. He checked in with Jake and Chris. "Who is this girl?" he said somewhat rhetorically. He brought his gaze back to Abbie. He took a deep breath, and without taking his eyes off hers, he said, "The way you're sitting ... the way you're leaning ... the way you're ... dressed ... surely, you must know I can see more than I'm probably supposed to, right?"
Abbie grinned, but didn't change her posture. "How much are you ... supposed to see?" She giggled and leaned in a bit more. "And don't call me Shirley." It seemed that none of Tyler, Jake, or Chris got the joke (they either didn't think it was funny or didn't recognize the reference), but Abbie thought she was a riot. She laughed at herself, suddenly more aware than she'd been before at her own body bouncing as she laughed.
Tyler again averted his eyes. If he had just walked down the bar and had a quick check-in over a drink order, he might have glanced down and seen that Abbie's dress was very low-cut, loosely open, and giving him quite a show. But now he'd stood there for long enough that looking would be just as awkward as talking about it.
"I'm probably not actually supposed to see ... anything. Unless, of course ... is it your intention for me to look?"
Abbie snickered. She was still enjoying her Airplane joke, but also liked seeing Tyler squirm. "I couldn't possibly know what you mean." She shifted her arms a bit, squeezing her own chest, knowing full well what Tyler was avoiding looking at.
"Okay guys," he said, looking up to Jake and Chris. "I don't know which of you is her boyfriend, or maybe neither of you, or -- this whole story is fascinating and unpredictable. But you're standing there just watching this unfold. Is one of you about to climb over here and punch me?"
Jake and Chris looked at each other, both smiling and shrugging.
"I'm not much of a fighter," said Jake. "Chris seems to be much bigger than I am."
Chris looked at Tyler and smirked. "Yeah, but you're basically doing what I've been trying to do all night."
Abbie turned over her shoulder to look at Chris. "You're trying to see down my top?" she said with a grin. "Why didn't you say so?"
Chris rolled his eyes with a laugh. "Look, man, I'm just along for the ride ... I think."
Tyler nodded at Abbie. "So you do know exactly what you're doing. Don't you?"
Abbie nodded. "Mm-hm."
"You know your dress is loose in the front?"
Abbie nodded.
"And you mean for me to be able to see ... everything?"
Abbie tilted her head to the side and sighed. "Well, you're not looking, so maybe my plan isn't very effective."
"I'm not looking because I'm trying to be respectful."
"I'm trying to get you to look, and you should respect my needs!" Abbie said with a giggle.
Tyler laughed. "This is amazing. I mean, you're clearly the hottest babe in the bar. I've obviously forgotten my job here, and who the fuck knows how many drinks I'm not making and how many tips I'm not getting right now. You're literally asking me to look at your tits -- and for some reason, I'm not doing it because we've been talking about it for so long that no matter what I do, it's gonna be weird."
Abbie nodded. "Well, I'm probably not going to lean on this bar forever. And I know my boys here want their beers. And I want another appletini. And maybe before the night's out, someone will want to stare at me inappropriately." She looked up at Jake and then at Chris before returning her gaze to Tyler. "It's all a girl can hope for, right?"
Tyler sighed again. "I'm going to get the beers. And the martini. And when I get back, if you're still here, I'll try to stare inappropriately -- but subtly, so it's not so awkward."
"Even though I know you're doing it?" Abbie said.
"Even though. Sound good?"
Abbie nodded. Tyler shook his head and walked down toward the part of the bar where the beers were in a low refrigerator case. He got two bottles, put them on the bar, and then set to mix the apple martini.
Abbie watched him for a bit, and then looked back at Chris again. She just stared at him for a minute until he realized that she was waiting for him to say something.
Chris caught himself starting to speak, stammering, and starting again. "Oh, I -- I mean, I guess if you want someone to look at you ... do you ... I mean ..."
Abbie sighed, exasperated. "Maybe it's just modern society, but do men not like boobs anymore?"
Chris laughed. "Okay, I give in. You want me to look down your top?"
"Yes!" shouted Abbie, almost loud enough to create a small scene. She calmed slightly. "Yes. I've been openly flirting with everything in the bar, and the least a guy could do would be to look at me!"
"But ... Jake?" Chris said.
Abbie scoffed. "He's seen it all! I mean, I hope he'd want to see it again, but he's seen it all!"
Chris took a deep breath and leaned around Abbie's side. "Okay, I'm only doing this because you want me to." He leaned further forward, craning his neck, and stared straight down the front of Abbie's dress.
"Well?" she said.
Chris stayed there for a while, just staring. Abbie started to giggle. Chris smiled, breathing a little more heavily. Abbie felt herself inadvertently matching his breathing, her chest swelling and relaxing. She became acutely aware that her breathing was making her show for Chris even more captivating.
"Fuck me," said Chris softly.
Abbie smirked. "If you ask nicely."
Chris lifted his eyes to look at Abbie, who was staring back at him. He had a grin on his face, and she matched it with a soft squint of her eyes and a gentle movement of her lips.
"That was ... really nice to look at," he said after a long pause.
"They're even nicer to touch," said Jake, speaking for the first time in a while. "Aren't they, Abbie?"
Abbie nodded slowly, still staring at Chris. "It's true. They are."
With a sigh, and feeling his eyelids fluttering a bit, Chris repeated himself. "Fuck me."
Abbie giggled again. "Like I said, you'll have to ask nicely."
She shrugged, unwilling to be any blunter to Chris, but content with the level of flirtatious foreplay. She glanced to her left and saw that Tyler was on his way back. She shimmied a bit to get back into the same position she was in when he left, and watched him as he returned.
