A significant wait

The two women went inside the hospital waiting room and went up to the desk.

"Hello, this is my daughter Candace, she just recently had intercourse with a stranger and we need to make sure she's alright," Janice told the receptionist

"Okay, ma'am, was this a consensual encounter?" the receptionist asked the duo.

Candace didn't want to make anything worse and butted in "yes, yes it was," while chuckling nervously.

"Okay, if you say so, ma'am," the receptionist looked at her skeptically before turning back to Janice, "our emergency OBGYNs are all busy in the maternity ward right now, but this seems like something different. I can call them and see if this is an urgent enough matter for them to look into. For right now you two can just sit down."

The two took their seats. While Janice took her coat off and put it on her lap, her daughter was not so thrilled about doing so.

"What's the matter, sweetie? It's a bit hot in here, dontcha think?"

"I'm fine, Mom, really," Candace gave the millionth fake smile that day.

"Nonsense, take it off," her mother insisted. Candace obliged, unzipping the coat, slipping it off while facing the wall, and sitting back down with the coat on her lap.

"Oh my, looks like David had quite a bit of fun," Janice chuckled at her daughter's undressed state, all too obvious underneath the blazer. Candace blushed but felt once again powerless.

After a while the receptionist came up to the duo specifically. "Well, I've contacted the department, and it looks like..."
