"Rules"

"I thought we could outline some rules," she bit her lip as we sat down at the table, she had a pen and notepad, "some limits on what you can or can't do."

"Seems fair," I said as I sat down next to her.

Over the next hour we laid out some basic "rules" for this little experiment.

1. Use protection
2. No feelings
3. Avoid pregnancies
4. Always check in with her
5. Don't forget about her

My thoughts on the rules.

1. Fair enough
2. These would be hook-ups not relationships
3. Pretty Obvious one that.
4. If I wasn't going to be home some night she would appreciate being told.
5. I would never

"You don't need to write that," I said as she wrote the fifth rule.

"It's important," she said as she finished, "I don't want some whore stealing my man."

"That won't happen," I took Lara's hand, "I love you."

She smiled and gripped my hand tightly, "I know."
