Chapter 16 by Bartw32rt
What about the date?
A phone call away
A spoon was twirling a bit frantically in the black tea Eliorah had ordered. There couldn’t really be a good reason for Stan’s absence. Perhaps something had happened while he was coming her way. Though she expected him to at least call if it wasn’t something so severe he couldn’t call. Or, and this was something she felt most anxious about, perhaps he had heard of what she had told her friends. Maybe he had heard that she had been telling her friends that he was her boyfriend. It would be so weird to hear something like that.
Even though, if she would have heard that he had told his friends that she was his girlfriend…hmmm…Eliorah didn’t really think that would be too much of a problem. She could even keep the illusion up for him if he wanted to. To have his arm around her while they would walk by. Or even have him kiss her. That wouldn’t be too bad. After all, they both wouldn’t actually want this. It would be just there to keep up appearance. Though where would she set the line.
If for example Stan would have gone overboard with his talks about her. Exaggerating the willingness of this fantasy girlfriend, she should fill in that role. In this scenario she wouldn’t be opposed to wearing somewhat more revealing in close proximity to Stan. To be perfectly blunt, she wouldn’t mind it if Stan would then use this moment to grind himself against her. Just theoretically. To have him just show that she was his, it would only help him. And if it would work on his friends, surely it wouldn’t be too bad for him to show Eliorah’s friends that she was taken. After all it was just a little lie about love.
Brrrr brrrr brrrr
Eliorah’s phone went off. Finally, Stan seemed to be alive. Probably just didn’t have any luck with traffic. Though when she picked up and heard his voice. She knew that there was trouble. She couldn’t see him, but knew that he was quivering.
“Hey sis, it’s not going great. I was in an accident at St. Paul street”
Her previous worries melted like snow. He was okay, was all that she could think about.
“You should drink some water and get yourself to the medic. I’m coming by car”
She said as she hung up. There really didn’t need to be said anything else. She knew her brother through and through. And even though he always made a mess, it was never one that he had thought about for longer than a minute. Which also made him so damn attractive to her.
She paid the restaurant, grabbed her coat and was off. Making sure to not be speeding since that could mean another accident. Though also not driving in her usual relaxed pace she arrived in about fifteen minutes. To then see her brother under a blanket covered in small cuts, some now stitched, and a lot of bruises. Though no permanent harm. While besides him laid a red haired woman that looked to be completely out of it.
Everyone else seemed to not have survived the accident. The other blankets being yellow. Which immediately made Eliorah’s heart fall. To then fall again…recognizing one of her colleagues and friends walking in the scene as Eliorah had already gotten out her car. With all the stress and worry that was inside of the head of Eliorah, she couldn’t really clarify to herself if this one thought Stan to be her boyfriend. She didn’t have long to decide on her next action, as she walked straight to her stepbrother. A wild love suppressed in her heart pumping in her throat as she feels every step bringing her closer to him.
What does Stan do?

To be a hero
To make the right decisions
This story will center itself around the main character: the hero. Well…at least that is what he will be at the start. You have to understand dear reader, that most villains in real life aren’t inherently evil. They themselves do believe that what they are doing is the right thing. To clarify, this story does start out as a heroic tale. It is in fact a little generic. For example, it is set in the glorious country of the United States. The hero does at the start believe in the workings of a democracy. The hero…gets the girls? That last one isn’t true. What a shame really. Well, it isn’t like this slight derailing of the story would result in a complete different story. Or…would it?
