Chapter 11 by Bartw32rt
What does Stan get out of it?
Trouble
It didn’t take long for both Stan’s and Lauren’s teacher to get to know what happened. It took him a while to get to the office and to find a park guard to stand there with an air rifle and a shocked Lauren and a somewhat giddy Stan. Both, apparently, holding each other’s hand.
“What’s the meaning of all of this?!”
The teacher used one of his angry tones though he was most relieved to see that the children were unharmed.
“Did you want to die young man?”
He directed his full attention to the young boy, who in turn didn’t look sheepishly to the ground. There was no reaction to his teacher speaking in such a tone. Stan was beginning to feel like he had to stand up for himself. And so he did.
“I take full responsibility”
He slightly growled as he pinched Lauren’s hand. Which made the young girl perk up and move herself closer to him to lay her head on his shoulder. This immediately seemed to make Stan feel a lot better. Now that he was more in control than he was before. It felt like it was emanating from his veins as the information of the lion’s mutations stringed themselves through his DNA. Feeling more confident and mature in a way. In short, the experience of biting an eight foot lion made the little boy feel good.
This all happened at the background of Stan’s head while the teacher was surprised by the kid’s mature accountability. He never dreamed of ever hearing such a thing from student, let alone a young kid that just joined their school. Somewhat dumbfounded, he didn’t have a reply. Which seemingly gave a cue to the park guard to speak up.
“Look, nobody got hurt and it seemed to be one big accident. Customers informed me that the lion seemed to be in pain, and this young little fellow just wanted to help.”
He said somewhat pensively. Though now putting up a whole different voice, bellowing down on Stan to make his point.
“But it was a dumb thing to do, because we got our own team to help all of our animals”
He directed his gaze at the teacher to wait for his remark. That didn’t seem to come. Everything seemed to have been said. He had thought of berating the kids, but since they already took accountability it didn’t seem right. Though in the end, he did send a message to the parents about the little misstep.
How has Stan become a superhero?

To be a hero
To make the right decisions
This story will center itself around the main character: the hero. Well…at least that is what he will be at the start. You have to understand dear reader, that most villains in real life aren’t inherently evil. They themselves do believe that what they are doing is the right thing. To clarify, this story does start out as a heroic tale. It is in fact a little generic. For example, it is set in the glorious country of the United States. The hero does at the start believe in the workings of a democracy. The hero…gets the girls? That last one isn’t true. What a shame really. Well, it isn’t like this slight derailing of the story would result in a complete different story. Or…would it?
