You went through the trouble of getting a handgun for protection, but you never needed it out here in the middle of nowhere. Taking it out of the safe, its newfound use makes you smile evilly.

You put on some dark clothes and a black ski mask. You go outside where it's raining a little. You hear thunder in the distance as you disappear into the woods behind your house.

You come out behind Jessica's house. It's raining steadily now. You wait in the trees for a while, watching the house. You can see into the kitchen. The lights are out upstairs.
