Adventurer's Guild.
You can't... not... go see the adventurer's guild. It's the obvious choice in such a cliche situation. But, fighting, slaying monsters? Or perhaps... Laying monsters? This could open a tonne of interesting areas to explore. Needless to say, you start heading over to the imposing brick building advertising these prospects.
The construction of the guild hall, presiding over the rest of the building dominated landscape in front of you is markedly more adept in it's presentation, showing the time and effort, and undoubtedly the cash that went into it's birth. With large doors leading into a buetiful interior that you are hesitant to step into. When one thinks of a guild in a TV show, you'd think of something less sophisticated. The walk in style leads directly to a check in desk, manned by a female attendant who cheerfully greets your arrival.
"Hello! How may I help you, sir?" She asks in a formal, yet joyous manner. "Perhaps you've come with a request for the guild?"
