Liandra laughs, for surely the young man jested. It was a light gay laugh, almost a giggle really, and the Emperor stood dumb folded.

"I know the Emperor is young, but I don't think he is that young" she jested in turn "He is tall, handsome, regal and intelligent" She remembered some of kendra comments about her Emperor, didn't she mention also he was a bachelor? just a coincidence, Liandra decided.

"Is that so? and have you ever met him, then?" Kendal sounded amused, that was the first time anyone doubted his identity.

"No, I didn't... but I happen to have a good friend who did, she is his vassal. I am friends with Baroness Kendra the Blackhand."

"Then please, by all means. Tell her you are both invited for dinner, give her this signet ring and she will know who I really am" the handsome emperor winked to the princess, who accepted his ring with grace. "I will need to make sure of her schedule, but i promise i will return it"

The princess looked around, and asked "Would you mind taking me back to the castle? I would be lost otherwise"
