Miranda talks to Shepard

Miranda looked at Shepard and smiled but winced as she did. She was sore all over. “Shepard… you saved me,” Miranda said. “I don’t remember much, but I remember you carrying me.”

Shepard blushed. “You saw me?”

“I felt you,” Miranda said. “You’re one of my best friends. And Jack has been crazy about you.”

“Really?” Shepard said. “So you wouldn’t want to kiss me?”

“I would never do that to Jack,” Miranda said. “Believe me, I know how special you are to her. In fact, before I blacked out and ended up here, Jack ended things with me. She told me she no longer wanted an open relationship and that she wanted to fully commit to you.”

Shepard’s jaw dropped. “Sh-she said that?” Shepard said.

“Don’t tell her I told you. She wanted it to be a surprise,” Miranda said. “But yes, she did. She’s serious about you, Shepard. If I could have her for myself, I would. But I know I lost my chance. And I would never get inbetween you two. And in some instances, I understand Jack’s feelings towards you. It’s something that I felt awhile ago. Still feel.”

“You…” Shepard said.

“No,” Miranda said. “Not anymore. It’s not important.”

Shepard nodded. “Shepard, we’re at your apartment,” Ashley said over the comms. “I assume you want to take point.”

Shepard glared and said. “Yeah, I do.”

She put her armor on and charged out of the ship gun drawn as she stormed her apartment.
