Chapter 3 by Wikia Wikia

What is the game like?

First: Basic Diagnostics

Isabela felt like her whole body fell-asleep, but that was normal. It was her brain adjusting to the unfamiliar software of the new game. It always felt like this when she started up a brand new game. A few more boot-ups and the transition will feel seamless.

Her eyes opened and she found herself in a blackish void with a light-source just out of sight. She felt sluggish, only able to move her eyes and lull her head side to side. It was like sleep paralysis, but without the overwhelming feeling of dread and anxiety.

Text appeared in the blackish nothingness above her:

Hello player.

Thank you for purchasing our interactive video game experience. While your game is rendering, we will be performing a full diagnostics test to better acclimate you to our virtual reality.

Most Neural VR games did this, though games that shared developers would use previous play data on the player's console to better render the player's avatar.

First, use the interface to move the cursor and click on the circle.

The text was replaced by a screen with nothing but a mouse-icon and a bright red button. Using her muscle-memory as a life-long VR gamer, she willed the cursor to move into the circle and clicked on it.

Conscious thought accessed through the neural interface allowed players to literally will certain features of the game's software, allowing people to reach pause menus and storage with nothing but a thought. This type of software was in all NVR games, but it made Fantasy RPGs, paint-programs and God-games especially popular. There was even talk of using this type of software to run advanced robotics and space-programs, but that kind of tech was still several decades away.

After running a few more more test with the Neural link, more text appeared.

Now physical check.

The screen instructed her to move her limbs. It was then she realized that her avatar had finished loading. She struggled to move her arms, almost as though she had just finished an intensive workout, and she could only manage a few kicks.

Excellent. Finish rendering world. Applying synaptic software.

Isabela blinked as the sensation of touch returned to her, the odd numbness replaced with a pleasant cool stillness in the air. She felt control of her body return to her and the first thing she did was sit up.

She looked at her hands. Her latte skin was as flawless as it was in other games, though she was surprised that it looked a tad cel-shaded. Her NVRS account came with various built-in features, including a default avatar, the software of the various games it could play usually defaulting to the avatar the player had constructed in the system's menu. While some people do radically different designs for their avatars, some people like Isabela prefer their avatars to resemble their meatspace bodies, albeit with minor improvements like less acne and straighter teeth.

Looking down, Isabela was surprised that the game had dressed her in a pink t-shirt. She didn't feel a bra under it, though her avatar's boobs didn't seem to notice. She had no pants, instead wearing a diaper strapped to her waist. It wasn't a plain white adult diaper with a yellow stripe on it like the one she put on in the real world. Instead, it was a bright shade of pink that matched her t-shirt.

Loading complete.

In a sudden storm of pixels, the black void she was sitting in disappeared. She found herself sitting in a crib big enough for three Isabelas, the wooden bars towering over her. The rest of the void became a room meant for a baby, or at least a baby her size. Shelves full of toys, a changing table, teddy bears that would need a forklift to move, foam jigsaw-puzzle carpeting, the works. The only odd thing about the room was that it lacked a door. Just a window without a view, a simulation of morning sunlight illuminating the room for it.

The bars of the crib lowered themselves to let her out, but before Isabela could even stand, she felt a sudden pressure in her body appear and disappear just as quickly. Isabela made a squeak in surprise as she felt her diaper area turn warm as she loudly peed herself, her exposed diaper turning yellow.

Isabela was not incontinent, and even when she... "indulged" herself in the real world, it took a lot of willpower to ignore her potty-training and use her diaper. Thanks to the game's coding, her real-world body's muscle-memory is gone, and peeing her pants was now as natural as breathing. She even felt an odd rush of dopamine quickly replace the undercurrent of shame the act typically gave her. She even laughed at how it tickled her.

As if her pee was a trigger, a banner uncurled out of nowhere in the ceiling, confetti exploding from various hidden spots in the room as it did, reading "ABDL Adventure Online". Music that sounded like an epic Big Band cover version of "Ring Around the Rosey" blasted out from nowhere.

"Wow," said Isabela, already excited by what she was seeing.

What kind of game is she playing? Solo or Multiplayer?
