What's next?

Creed checks his email

"...well I'll just get out of your hair then..." Michael Scott said somewhat defeated before he headed into his office.

Creed looked up from the paper he was reading just as Michael closes the door behind him and the buzz around the office continues. The sales team were making calls or working on their computers. Pam the receptionist was busily shuffling paper around her desk. Accounting worked quietly as they always did. "You weren't at the meeting," Meredith said from across from him. He looks over at his redhead desks mate snapping out his thoughts.

"There was a meeting?" Creeds asked looking up towards the ceiling in thought trying to remember. "There was a meeting today?"

Meredith looked annoyed at him. "Yeah...Michael called one and everyone went but you just sat here reading the paper."

"Oh...I guess I missed it then..." Creed shrugged and turned his attention to his computer monitor. He noticed that he got an email and clicked on it.

"You didn't miss anything though...you know how these meetings are..." Meredith assured as she busied herself with her solitaire game.

"That's nice," Creed replied with a nod, his focus on his computer monitor. He reads an email it was probably spam but he always opened spam, it wasn't his computer to be careful with. The email was an ad and it read, "Have you ever been taken for granted? Have you ever wanted something more in life? Well look no further! If you click this link we'll show just how easy it is to get what you want!"

Creed read the ad a few times and nodded to himself agreeing with it. He thought, I haven't ever been taken for granted and I want a lot of things in life...I also don't want to look any further for it...he nodded to himself once more and clicked the link. He was taken to another site, that looked very simple with just some text. He read the text, Thank you user for putting your trust in us! We are a higher power, currently looking to gift any human who clicked on our site the power of their choosing. You may know us as Gods or see us as deities but...he skipped on and to see what they were selling. He read the last line, Time control, personality control or mind control?

That's easy he thought, mind control. He clicked on the link. His monitor shut off. "Oh no..."

"What?" Meredith asked her focus still on her game.

"Nothing," Creed replied quickly his eyes wide. Well that was trap he then thought picking up his news paper back up. He read another article before he heard his computer boot back up. He lowered the paper and looked at his monitor and saw that he was back in his email. He saw that he had a new email with no address but in the subject line was a single word, Chooser. Surely this was a malware or something he thought before he clicked to open the email. There was only a single line in the message. "Chooser has been granted mind control," he read aloud.

"What the hell are going on about?" Meredith asked glancing at him once before going back to her game. She liked Creed he was quiet, she was quiet they were perfect desks mates. He was old though and he did old man things all the time like read aloud and not make any sense.

As Creed processed what has just happened the email deletes itself without any action from him. He glanced across at his desks mate. Time to test he thought. He leaned towards her so no one could hear him but her. He looks around the office once more. As usual no one paid him any attention. They rarely did, Meredith and him had the back of the bullpen to themselves more or less. The only other desks with more privacy was Michael's office or the annex.

"Meredith stop," he commanded. He waited for the redhead to look at him annoyed but she just stopped and continued to stare her monitor, her green eyes blank. He smiled. Surely if she was playing his creepy smile would make her react. She did not react. "Meredith stand." The redhead stood, her face still blank. She stood at attention behind her desk. Creed looked around. He got a brief look from Angela over in accounting but she shook her head silently and went back to whatever she was doing. The sales team paid him not attention and Pam was talking on the phone with her back to him. "Meredith sit." his desks mate did as ordered, her face still empty. Creed chuckled silently. Meredith remained blank faced and oblivious as the creepy old man looked around the office. "Well this day just got a little interesting..."
