Chapter 38 by Dan5976
Will I be spared a fall?
Yes, much to Cassy's dismay.
Of course I couldn't fully participate in the game anymore, but I managed not to get hit or slip on my socks.
Out of nowhere I suddenly heard: "Amira, where are your shoes? You know that it is not without risk to exercise in socks." It was our gym teacher. "Uhm, sorry ma'am but one of my laces broke during the game and I took my shoes off." Behind her I saw Cassy laughing.
"Hm vague excuse, but it's possible. Only I can't let you participate like this. So you have two options: Either take off your socks or sit aside and we'll discuss later how I'm going to judge you. But pay attention well, I don't think it's safe even barefoot. So actually you don't have a choice. Just sit on the side."
To Cassy's dismay, her game was over. After class I reported to our gym teacher. She thought that I had passed the lesson, if only because of my perseverance. What a relief!
When I got back to the locker room everyone had already left. The locker room was empty. And by empty I mean empty. All that was left were the keys to my locker in the main building and my phone. My clothes were gone, including my sports shorts and sneakers. All I had now was my sports shirt and my socks.
There was a message from Jill on my phone.
Dear Amira,
Cassy told us about your adventure in class. She was also kind enough to leave us with your clothes. If you want to go home a little dressed. Then meet us at your locker.
Love, Jill
