Arriving at the convenience store

The bus came to a stop, and Tanya wasted no further time in getting off that hell ride.

In her hand, fluttered a single piece of paper with several items that she had to get. It was - Rachel assured her - "useful gear" for the final humiliation. It appeared to be the final costume that the loser would ultimately have to wear.

As she staggered on to the busy street, bystanders and shoppers temporarily stopped in their tracks.

A woman dressed as a big baby could have that effect on even the most distracted of consumers.

The air was cooler than it had been several days back for Mitchell's grand entrance at Tom's Hardware Store. With the ever-present risk of side boob, Tanya was tempted to just cross her arms and protect that flapping bib with her dying breath. As it was though, Rachel had left instructions that while in the shops, Tanya had to keep her hands down by her sides, or holding certain items that Rachel was getting to her to buy anyway. Any other attempt at preserving modesty would result in a big fat failure of the task.

Tanya couldn't afford to lose. Mitchell was already up 1-0, and if she lost this task, there would be no need for the tiebreaker. And if there was no need for the tiebreaker, it was because Mitchell would have won and would have earned the right to decide who should suffer the ultimate humiliation.

Tanya was once again momentarily taken aback by the realization that part of her hoped he chose her. Not for her own titillation, but more so to save the stupid, moronic fool she'd accidentally fallen in love with.

"Shit!" she thought, as she hesitated in the streets, publicly humiliating herself further with every passing second that she spent dithering.

She looked down at the list again. It was a relatively straightforward one:

•Pig's snout.

•Novelty handcuffs.

•Clothes pegs.

•Cartoon panties.

It sounded like a fairly ominous set of accessories for whatever outfit Rachel had planned. A tiny part of Tanya worried slightly whether in fact that was the outfit Rachel had planned.

Nevertheless, if she could just buy these items, she'd secure a point and push this to a tiebreaker. Even if it meant shaming herself on the streets, it was something she had to do.
