The ball landed and out popped Neo, Dakota smirked at this as he was definitely her strongest pokemon. The battle started with the two male pokemon colliding with each other and trading blows, but it did not take long for Neo to come out on top as he knocked out the starly.

"Don't get too confident, I still have my starter" Barry says returning the starly and summoning his piplup, Neo and the piplup glared at each other, before running in, the piplup hitting Neo with a water gun before taking a hit to his belly, he kept using water gun as Neo kept up his own ****, Dakota could see that Neo was weakening with each hit, he was likely a higher level than the piplup but was indeed weak to the water move that Barry was spamming away with, if he didnt get a finishing blow soon he would be out of the fight leaving Dakota defenseless.
