Mary finishes work.

Once the photoshoot was finished Janice changed back into her suit and returned to her office.

After some time, her door was knocked on and Janice looked up to see Mary opening her door.

'Ah, Mary. Come in.' Janice stated as she got up. Mary came inside and closed the door.

'So, how does this work?' Mary asked as she approached.

'Take a seat.' Janice replied as she opened her personal bar fridge and pulled out one of the tubes of yellow liquid and a syringe. She looked up to see Mary sitting in a nearby seat, 'Just relax and roll up your sleeve.'

'Okay. Just checking, you do know what you're doing, right?' Mary asked as she rolled up her sleeve.

'Don't worry, Zinthrop showed me what to do.' Janice replied. Was Mary having second thoughts? Did everyone hate this serum secretly? Why were people so opposed to something so incredible? At least Mary was willing to try it out, she had always been a good friend. Janice filled the syringe with the yellow liquid, and placed the empty test tube in her bin. She then walked over to Mary and pulled up her own chair, sitting on it beside her, 'Remember, try to stay calm.'

'Okay, I trust you.' Mary stated before taking a few deep breaths. She then nodded at Janice, who injected the syringe into Mary's arm. Mary winced as it pierced the skin. Good, now someone else had the gift. Janice then pulled out the syringe and replaced the cap before throwing it into her bin. She grabbed a Band-Aid and placed it over the injection site.

'There you go.' Janice stated as she pulled her arms away, 'Tomorrow, you'll be a new person.'

'Thank you.' Mary said, rolling her sleeves back down, 'I can't wait. Anyway, I'll see you then, as the new me.'

The two laughed, before Mary left Janice's office. Janice smiled before she grabbed her cooler bag and placed the test tube holder from her bar fridge into it. Janice then left her office, carrying the bag.
