Starting Lessons

The instant you entered Professor Dove’s classroom with her by your side, every student in the class looked at you, awestruck.

“Ms. Ashcroft!” Professor Dove snapped suddenly, and the short and stacked blonde girl in the front row jerked to attention, her pretty green eyes breaking off of you to look at the professor.

“Mr. Stone here is your responsibility, not just for this class period but in general. I figure it would do him some good to have such a knowledgeable and warm guide around this Academy.” Professor Dove said. Harmony Ashcroft looked anything but pleased.

“Perhaps you two can discuss some of your common ancestors.” Professor Dove said casually, and abruptly, a lot of Harmony’s ice melted away into visible curiosity.

‘She can’t resist knowledge of her family.’ Professor Dove’s naturally seductive voice filled your head, and you gave her a surprised look. Her eyes were glowing vivid ice blue, not their usual shade of royal blue.

“What the…” you asked incredulously, but she shook her head, and swept to the front of the classroom. You followed a little less hastily, and took your seat beside Harmony Ashcroft, who you noticed wore a golden ring that was shaped like a phoenix on fire.

House pride, you guessed.

Harmony’s green eyes lit up blue, and suddenly a feminine voice filled your head, a husky one with a touch of self-importance.

‘You’re descended from the Ashcroft family?’ Harmony asked in your head.

“Yeah, I guess.” you whispered back.

“Just use telepathy.” she hissed back verbally, her voice exactly the same as it was in your head.

“Ms. Ashcroft, do me a favor and focus on the lesson please.” Professor Dove spoke up, and Harmony’s beautiful face reddened. The blue glow to Harmony’s eyes vanished, and they were plain old sage green again.

“As I was saying. Archaic Sorcery is the study of long dead spells, ancient magical cultures, and the enormous feats that shaped our world into the world we all know today.” Professor Dove explained. You listened attentively, as you were a year behind after all. A full 100 on the magical potential test was all well and good, but you had no idea how to cast a single spell.

“Our first unit will be on Landmarks of the Natural World, landmarks such as the Grand Canyon to the west, the site of an ancient magical battle.” Professor Dove began, and you listened enraptured at the overload of new information.

After class ended, you found yourself walking beside Harmony, her being the only person you knew, after all.

“So, you’re an Ashcroft descendant?” Harmony asked as the two of you walked. Clearly the question had been weighing on her throughout class.

“I’m a descendant of all the High Four, according to the headmaster.” you revealed, and Harmony’s eyes widened, then they flicked to the Chimera pin on your chest.

“Explains that, then.” she said with an air of finality.

“So, are we like cousins or something?” you asked, hoping the answer was no. Harmony had far too large a chest or plump an ass to be related to you. Surely the world wasn’t that cruel.

“No, of course not. I know all of my family up to cousins fourth removed.” Harmony said idly, clearly lost in thought.

“Right.” you said in relief.

“What is your name, by the way? I didn’t catch it.” Harmony said, almost apologetically.

“It’s Luke. Luke Stone.” you answered, and she nodded.

“Well, I’m in Advanced Telekinetics, and I don’t think you are, unfortunately.” Harmony said, and she did almost sound sad to leave. Maybe she just didn’t want Professor Dove to come after her.

“I don’t even have a schedule.” you admitted. Harmony rolled her eyes and stuck her hand into your robes, which made you just about jump out of your skin but she pulled back her hand without so much as brushing you, and in her hand she held a furled up scroll.

“You were saying?” one of her honey-colored eyebrows raised a little smugly.

“I have Intermediate Elementals.” you read aloud.

“This way, then.” Harmony said briskly, and led you down the hall at a quick pace.

“Won’t you be late for your next class?” you asked as you walked swiftly alongside Harmony, who despite her shortness, moved with haste.

“That’s why we’re hurrying, Luke.” Harmony told you, and you had to admit, you liked the way her husky voice said your name.

Harmony was hot as fuck, there was no denying that.

———

You walked into Intermediate Elementals to, unsurprisingly, discover a classroom full of total strangers.

The teacher was a gorgeous dark-skinned woman with medium sized breasts, long black hair and some fucking insane curves, which were made better by her incredible round ass.

“Hello, Mr. Stone. I am Professor Astana, it is a pleasure to meet you. Intermediate Elementals is done in pre-assigned pairs, so let’s see, who is your partner for this semester…” the gorgeous black professor said, her finger trailing down a sheet of paper she had in her hand.

“Ah! You’re with Rose Wester.” Professor Astana announced, and in the back of the class, a redhead girl wearing a Wyvern pin jerked at the sound of her name.

You headed back to sit down beside Rose Wester, and admired her out of the corner of your eye. Rose had curly red hair that fell to her shoulder blades, warm blue eyes, and a generous bosom. She wasn’t as busty as Harmony, but she had a rack on her. She also had remarkably thick and tantalizing thighs.

“I’m Luke Stone.” you introduced yourself.

Rose glanced at the Chimera pin on your chest.

“I know who you are. The whole school’s been buzzing about the first Chimera student.” Rose said, “And the first maximum score in hundreds of years. Only Rylan Ashcroft has ever gotten a maximum score.”

“Yeah, Professor Dove mentioned that.” you nodded.

“Elements are what make up the very existence of our lives and our magic.” Professor Astana began, and the whole class rapidly hushed, “Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Those are the four building blocks of our world. You may hear of other Elements, but they are not real elements. I call those Phantom Elements. They are not the core four. Void is one of those Phantom Elements, and it is the absence of all four. Spirit, another Phantom Element, is the combination of all four. Today, all of you will be seeing which Elements you have an affinity for. Beneath everyone’s desk is a box, please place it on your table.”

Rose bent to grab the box, and your eyes widened at the cleavage you suddenly saw as your eyes were looking right down her white blouse at the lacy green bra pressing together her sizable breasts.

You ripped your eyes away from the heavenly sight as Rose straightened and placed a small box on the table, about the size of a coaster for drinks.

“Open it.” Professor Astana instructed, and there were several loud clicks as the clasps were open. You opened yours and Rose’s box, and inside it was two vials, one emblazoned with RW, and the other with LS.

“Grab the one that is marked with your initials.” Professor Astana continued, and you did so.

“Now blow into the vials.” she instructed.

You glanced uncertainly at Rose, who blew into hers calmly. The vial abruptly filled with a tempestuous tornado.

You blew into yours, unsure what you’d get. You weren’t expecting no reaction. You blew into it again, and then suddenly you saw something small in the very center of the vial. A small little pinprick of golden light.

“What element is that?” Rose muttered, looking at you thoughtfully. You blew into the vial once more, and the thing shattered in your hand.

Professor Astana’s head turned directly towards you at the sound, and she walked over curiously.

“You shattered the Elemental Vial?” she asked, seeming calm.

“I guess so? It didn’t give me an obvious answer, so I blew into it a few times.”

“His vial just had a little dot of golden light.” Rose jumped in to help.

“That means the Elemental Vial was unable to place you.” Professor Astana muttered.

“What does that mean?” you asked worriedly.

“Well, it means that you either have no affinity, or an affinity it was not programmed to read. Either is equally unheard of.” Professor Astana answered thoughtfully.

She returned to the front of the classroom and resumed teaching, while you sat there and wished you could just be a normal student. Why did everything special have to happen to you?

You felt a hand squeeze your arm, and you looked over at Rose in surprise.

She just gave your arm another reassuring squeeze, not taking her eyes off the lesson happening up front.

When the bell finally rang, Professor Astana made a staying gesture to you. You had expected this, but it still sucked.

“I’ll see you later, Rose.” you told your ginger partner, and she nodded.

“Not if I see you first.” Rose replied as she left. Sighing, you walked towards your professor’s desk.

“Yes, ma’am?” you asked as you approached her, the two of you alone in the classroom.

“I’m going to conduct a more thorough affinity test on you. I’ve already sent a note to Professor Tamlin about you missing his Magical Creatures class for today.” Professor Astana explained.

“Right.” you said.

“This may be a touch awkward, but I need you to take off your shirt. The pants should stay on.” Professor Astana explained. Embarrassed and just so done with all of these wild once in a thousand years things that kept happening to you.

You stripped your upper half, and the gorgeous, voluptuous dark-skinned professor placed her hand on your heart.

The other one she placed on your temple.

“This is going to be very disorienting.” she briefed, “Just focus on me, on my hands on you, and you’ll be fine.”

“What does that-“ you began, but then the world around you swirled and suddenly, things weren’t right.
