Sam has a few ideas.

Sam was quiet for a moment, then spoke softly.

"So far very few of our tests have had me acting completely contrary to my nature. It would interesting to see if I could resist the influence if more was at stake for me. In addition, I think Jake may have more information than he realizes. I have a reliable way to test both of these."

Janet motioned for her to proceed, only to receive a blank stare. Sam really was passive when she was like this. "Go on.”

"We could bind Jake in his sleep and dose him with a hallucinogen when he wakes up."

Janet considered it. "Doesn't that bother you? Seeing as how you share a mind with Jake or whatever?"

Sam looked blankly at her. "I don't think anything bothers me right now. You'll need to restrain me, though. When Jake wakes up tied down, I don't think either of us will be happy. There's a good chance I'll try to attack you. I suspect it will be quite unpleasant for me." She spoke this last bit disinterestedly, as though discussing a scene from a movie.

Janet was a little freaked out. "Wait, you know you're going to react badly, but you want to do it anyway?"

"Yes. In my current state, I understand that this may be the best way to test how much I'm able to resist his influence."

It dawned on Janet. "You're gonna want to kill me."

"Likely not kill you, but certainly subdue you and release Jake. I wonder if my love for you as a sister will in any way dampen Jake's effect. It's improbable but important to establish."

"So what's the point of the hallucinogen?"

Sam regarded her coolly. "I have a suspicion that Jake has some knowledge about this that he's forgotten or suppressed. With a powerful dose of something like peyote, those thoughts may come to the front of his mind."

A thought occurred to Janet. "How will I get you to tell me? If you're still under his influence, you'll never work with me."

"You'll have to either put him back to sleep or find some way to **** it out of him." Sam looked down at her folded hands, then back up. "Once Jake wakes up, I'll immediately tell him our whole plan, of course. I'll be helpless again, probably unable to subvert his will."

Janet was shocked that her sister casually brought up torturing this guy. "Are you asking me to use **** on Jake?"

"If need be. You should restrain me soon, I think he may be starting to stir."
