Jack sucked in a deep breath, doing his best to steady his nerves as the metal dome of the M.E.T.D pod closed over top of him. Despite how safe the mind swap process had been proven to be, it was still a nerve-racking thought to be torn out of his own body.

Yet it would all be worth it.

Jack was about to prove his career as a journalist by pulling the top off a college football betting scam. He had been following the trail for months, he had interviewed everyone who knew something, he had gone over every bit of game footage, and followed the money itself and it all pointed to the same thing. The coach of the local college football team was betting against his own team and paying his players to lose.

Probably.

That was the big problem with Jack’s whole case. As much as he was confident with all the evidence he brought together, none of it was a definitive shot to the heart that wrapped the whole case up perfectly. Plus with this town being a relatively small one, any accusations against the beloved college football team needed to be airtight. So Jack needed to find that dagger that got the case in the heart and luckily he had a good idea where to look. One of the witnesses he had interviewed had learned the information they had because one of the football players had a pair of loose lips while drunk at a college party.

So all he needed to do was get into one of those parties.

Of course it was not all that easy for a nearly 40-year old man to slip into a College party and get someone to talk about their illegal activities.

Normally that would be the end of it for Jack, either he would have to give up the chase or get someone else to infiltrate the party but neither option was going to do. This was going to be his big career break. No longer would he be a writer for some trash gossip website but a real reporter who broke this case all on his own.

That's why he had pulled together the money for buying a Black Tier mind swap, because it would be worth it for what it gave him.

The M.E.T.D started to glow with blue and purple light as the swapping process began. Jack took another breath, preparing himself for-
