MARCI takes corrective action

Kyle struggled, thanks to his long nails, to detach either his earrings or necklace easily. Not made any easier with MARCI chiming in every six seconds.

“Mistress, please do not attempt to remove your jewelry. That is unadvisable.” MARCI stated.

But Kyle ignored her and continued trying, until MARCI got sterner.

“If you don’t cease your activity, I will be **** to take corrective action.”

“I’d like to see you try…” Kyle muttered under his breath.

As if taking it as a challenge, MARCI began blaring the silent to everyone else but incredibly disrupting to Kyle high-pitched whining, which stopped Kyle in his tracks.

“Argh…” Kyle clenched his teeth and let go of the necklace.

“Are you okay, Kylie?” Uncle Mark asked.

“I’m fine.” Kyle snapped, too used to the concerns of the girls or others who he didn’t want to know his true identity. “I mean…”

“Say no more. Girl stuff?” Uncle Mark asked.

“Sort of, it’s about MARCI…” Kyle tried to ask, but Remy returned at that moment to take their orders.

Uncle Mark ordered a steak, while Sam ordered the chicken. For Kyle, although his mouth watered at the delectable menu in front of him, MARCI ensured that he only ordered what he needed, which was Ratatouille. While it was tasty, Kyle would’ve preferred some of the protein that he was being denied by MARCI. Sam kept the conversation going as he asked Uncle Mark about the business deal and what it meant and Uncle Mark was only too happy to oblige him. When that conversation wound down, Uncle Mark turned his attention to Kylie. As he picked at his plate, Uncle Mark cleared his throat.

“So, uh, Kylie… Sam tells me that you’re interested in a boy.” Uncle Mark seemed unsure of how to approach the question.

“That’s not exactly how I’d put it…” Kyle started, shooting a glare at Sam, who ignored it.

“But this is the date that the neighbor girls were getting you ready for the other night?” Uncle Mark asked.

“Well, yes, but…” But Kyle was again cut off.

“You’re moving pretty fast, I mean, you can only have just met the boy. Not to mention that I haven’t had the chance to meet him yet.”

“Meet him?”

“Listen, I might not be your father, but here I’m the closest thing you’ve got, and trust me, I’m no stranger to having daughters, so next time he picks you up, I’d like it if you introduced us. Have to make sure of his intentions, right?”

“It really isn’t like that! You see,”

“Say no more, I don’t need the sordid details, just as long as you use protection, you can do whatever it is you kids get up to in private.”

Kyle rolled his eyes as he heard another ping. Clearly having MARCI around had eroded whatever parenting skills Uncle Mark may have had at one point. Although that shouldn’t surprise Kyle, considering how Darla, Melissa and Robin are, Sami and Amy must be the same way. Between Sam, the girls, and MARCI, Kyle was never going to manage to explain what happened. And even if he did, Uncle Mark probably wouldn’t listen.

The rest of the night was rather uneventful, and they returned home and Kyle immediately headed up for bed, drained by the day. MARCI was thankful, because that was exactly what she would have suggested. Tomorrow was a big day for Kylie, she needed her beauty rest.
