Great!

Jennifer spotted Mark lingering around the entrance. He looked like he hadn't slept in a week. She probably looked about the same. "Mark!"

He turned and came over. "You ready for some gross anatomy?" He lifted the jumbo box of coffee he'd picked up on the way. She eyed it gratefully. "You know it."

They found their way to a study room and spread out all of their materials across the table. Mark poured a generous portion of steaming coffee into the cheap paper cups he had brought and they dug in. Jennifer suggested they spend an hour reviewing the material in summary, then move on to flash cards. Mark agreed.

As she poured over diagrams of vertebrae and lymph nodes, Jennifer couldn't help but notice that her concentration was improved. She couldn't believe this stuff actually worked! Well, that, or it was a placebo. Either way, she'd take it. Even her energy level was improved.

She glanced up at Mark. He was drumming his fingers on the table, staring intently at a musculoskeletal diagram of the anterior torso. She normally found his finger-drumming annoying, but today she didn't mind. It was almost soothing.

She turned another page and realized she had reached the end of the section. Checking her phone, she was surprised to see it had only been twenty minutes. She leaned back in her chair, stretching her back. She got up to stretch her legs. Only when Mark looked up did she realize she was giving him a great view of her shapely ass.

"Uh, Jennifer, are you done already?"

She smiled sheepishly, not wanting to embarrass him. "Yeah, but I probably missed some stuff. You know, brain fog, sleep deprivation, all that." In truth, she felt clearer and sharper than she had in weeks. Those pills really worked!

"Uh-huh. Well, I'm gonna be going over this for at least another half an hour."

She sat back down and cracked the book open, hoping to soothe his wounded ego. Jennifer normally didn't care about making others feel inferior, but then again she normally didn't finish tasks in half the time it took her classmates. Flipping through the section, she was surprised to find that she basically knew all the information. So much for a marathon study session, she thought. She decided to pass the time rereading the section.
