Marcus looked like he had an idea.

"Sal, the sky is orange."

She frowned. What was he talking about? "No it's not. What's gotten into you?"

"Your name is Cynthia."

Why was he making stuff up? "Are you ok, babe? My name's Sally." She was starting to be concerned for him.

Marcus was looking at her intensely. "Today is Monday."

"Oh." She thought it was Thursday. Marcus was looking expectantly at her. "What day is it?"

"It's Monday." Shit, was she gonna be late for work?

Marcus was looking at his phone. Marcus was looking at her, his phone in his hand. "Ok, hon, just stay right there."

Marcus was turning to leave. Marcus turned to her. "Shit. Um, you need to stay right there." She needed to stay right there.

"Sal, what do you need to do?"

"I need to stay right here."

Marcus was leaving the room.
