What’s going on?
Meeting with Aria
Shepard walked up to the infamous couch as Aria sat waiting. “Shepard. It took you long enough. I don’t like to be kept waiting.”
“Aria,” Shepard said. “What do you want?”
“Is that any way to speak to me, Shepard?” Aria said. “I wanted to make an arrangement with you. An offer you definitely can’t refuse.”
“We’ll see about that,” Shepard said. “I’m not about to agree to just anything.”
“I have a contract with your name on it right here,” Aria said. “All you have to do is sign it.”
“And why would I do that?” Shepard asked.
“Because you owe me. Without me, your body would never have been recovered,” Aria said.
Shepard raised an eyebrow. “What are you talking about?”
“Liara and I made a deal. We exchanged information. That is how she found your body the second time,” Aria said. “But the information I provided came at a cost. And now I’m cashing in my reward.”
“What’s in the contract?” Shepard asked.
Aria smiled. “Excitement. Thrills. Danger. But does it really matter? And don’t worry. The contract only lasts 4 weeks. That’s hardly a day for us asari.”
Shepard sighed. “And you won’t take no for an answer?”
Aria shook her head. “Sign it.”
Shepard gulped as she signed the contract. Aria smiled. “Now what?” Shepard said. “What contract did I sign?”
