Chapter 2
by Blanchovy
Who will acquire the sugar?
Braden, 18, shopping for his family
"Ugh, this bites." Braden mumbles to himself. He had been zoned out while pushing his cart up and down endless aisles of various foods, drinks, and plenty more. He wished he could be home watching TV or even hanging out with one of his older sisters, but his Mom sent him on this quick little grocery run. If it wasn't for the compensation, he would've considered saying no. Now at least, the deed was almost done. He only needed one more item. A bag of sugar.
Braden was lucky enough to find the last batch of sugar available in the back of the shelf. Although it was a brand he'd ever heard of, he wasn't going to miss his chance, especially since his mom was giving him $20 bucks for a finished job. He grabbed the sugar and tossed it into his shopping cart, along with an array of other various ingredients and foods already collected. He checked it off his grocery list, and headed to checkout.
While waiting in line, he goes through his phone, reading a plethora of different posts on social media, such as how a man in his state named George was arrested for countless amounts of crimes. Some were sexual ****, ****, and even illegal possession of military equipment. "People just get crazier and crazier these days," He murmurs. He wished he could've been there to see it all. He puts his phone away, pays for his stuff, and gets in his car.
He arrives home, parking his car on the curb as he sees his spot in the driveway was taken. A beat up silver van was there and immediately, Braden knew who it belonged to. Kelsey, he thought to himself. He felt a small dose of frustration wash over him. He wouldn't have cared too much had it not been for the fact that it was one of his older sisters.
He collects all the grocery bags his hands can muster, and makes his way to the from door. Without a free knuckle, he uses his shoulder as a way of knocking to get the attention of those inside. *BOOM BOOM* The door rattles harshly, giving way to a set of quick footsteps that start soft, then crescendo as they approach the front door. The lock clicks and the door is swung open. "WHO THE HELL IS IT!?" A young, blonde woman appears at the door. Immediately she freezes when she notices who it is.
"Oh, it's just you, sorry little bro," She says, looking Braden up and down before smiling. "Oh cool you got the groceries. Any snacks?"
"If you'd move and let me in, you'll find out," Braden urges as his grip on the bags begin to wane. He pushes past the blonde woman before speed walking his way to the dining room table where he plants the plethora of bags. Exhausted, he makes his way towards the kitchen sink where he washes his hands.
"So, you gonna say hello? Maybe ask what I've been up to?" Kelsey says, as she walks in and takes a seat on the counter top next to the sink.
Braden finishes washing and dries his hands before saying, "Nah, you've probably been getting into more trouble. I can't imagine you've found yourself a decent job or a place to live just yet." He leans on the counter, crossing his arms while getting a good look at Kelsey's face. She has more that enough make-up on to imply that she's likely to go out once again. Either that, or she still hasn't removed what she had last night. She still was wearing the same torn jeans from the last time she visited, although it appears the holes have gotten bigger. Nothing seems to have changed.
"Ugh, if I wanted to get this treatment, I'd have traveled across the state to see Dad. Can't you be nice to me?" Kelsey leans in a little as she speaks, close enough for the aroma of her perfume to reach Braden's nose. The faintest whiff sends his brain whirling. Despite the great scent, the strength of it pounds his head and makes the hair on his back raise a little bit.
"Jeez," Braden recoils. "Maybe if you decide to ease up on your stank for once. How many times did you spray yourself?"
"Oh come on, it's not that bad," She says, lowering her voice."Besides, I can't have mom find out I was smoking in the backyard earlier."
"And why not?" Suddenly a mature voice looms right outside the kitchen. A few seconds later, an elegant, beautiful woman makes her way into the room.
"It's not like you did a good job of hiding it," The older woman said.
Kelsey chokes up for a second, trying to find an answer. "Oh uhhh, I mean, I uhh.." She continues to stammer on for a second before the lady only smiles and starts walking towards her.
"Oh please, as if I hadn't already guessed my kids were already doing things like that. By the way, thanks for getting the groceries, son." She leans in and gives Braden a small kiss on the cheek before handing him a $20 bill. She then looks over to Kelsey, "You however, need to promise me that you stick to marijuana ONLY. Do you understand?"
Kelsey looks at her with amazement before answering, "Uhhh, sure. Okay, Mom."
"Now, leave my kitchen so I can get started on cooking." The mom says, wrapping her apron around her waist. The siblings make their way into the living room. Braden watches as Kelsey sits down on the couch as he decides to head upstairs to relax.
"Promise we can hang out later?" Kelsey says, an innocent smile on her face.
"Only if you promise not to smell like a perfume store." He says before bolting up to his room. As he reaches the top, however, a door opens, and he runs into a small, delicate figure that gets in his way.
"Ow! Jeez, watch it bro!" Braden hears as he stumbles back and looks down, only to find his other sister, Elsa.
"Uh, sorry," Is all he can muster as he notices the amount of skin showing on Elsa. His eyes linger for about a second longer, making sure to keep note of all her beauty. Her smooth skin, flat stomach, those lightly plump lips that when curved into a smile makes Braden's heart melt a little on the inside. Those piercing eyes that capture his gaze, making him feel both flustered yet excited at all times. She is absolutely gorgeous, and Braden has had a crush on her for as long as he can remember.
Despite the fact that she's his sister, he feels no shame. He has always held a fascination with her jaw dropping looks, added with her kindness that makes him feel a little giddy whenever she offers to simply be in his presence. Her outfits only encourage his feelings, as they walk the line between conservative and ostentatious.
She's everything he wants in a woman. Sexy, radiant, kind, and close to him. He wishes he could stare for a little longer, but he concedes and moves along to his room. Behind him he hears, "Hey! Wait a second!"
With the guilt of gawking at his sister, he plays dumb and heads to his room, closing his door behind him. He takes a deep breath, thinking back to how pretty she truly was. Maybe he was bordering on obsessive, but he felt as though it wasn't his fault. "How can I be blamed when I'm constantly surrounded by beautiful women?" He thought. "I was bound to gravitate toward one."
Without weighing on it too much, he starts to undress, preparing to put on more comfy clothes in exchange. As he steps out of his jeans, he hears the commotion between what is likely his two sisters having a conversation across floors. Which causes him to pause what he's doing, now totally naked. Not a second later, Elsa barges in, "Hey bro, Mom was- WOAH!"
"Elsa, what the fuck!" Braden yells, trying to cover up his nether regions. "Can't you knock?"
"I'm sorry!" She whimpers. "I was just trying to tell you that Mom wanted your help with something!"
"Okay, got it, thank you. Now can you at leave??" Braden looks up at his sister, expecting her to leave immediately, only to find that she wasn't moving at all. In fact, she was frozen, her gaze looking downward at what seemed to be his lower body. "Oh my god..." Elsa muttered.
Braden, realizing what his sister was doing looked at her in a slight awe. "Elsa, are you..?"
She then looks up at his eyes. At first, Braden was hoping to see a flustered gaze with blushed cheeks. What he got instead was worse. She scowled. Her cheeks burned red, but with anger. she took a sharp inhale, then yelped, "PERVERT," before slamming the door shut. Braden flinched.
He was left there stunned, trying to make sense of what she was upset about. "How the hell am I the pervert? I didn't go barging into someone's room while they were naked," He thought. It was then that he looked down and around his feet where he felt horror creep into his mind.
Underneath his bed, sticking out like a sore thumb, was a small, lacy bra that was all too familiar.
".....Fuck me."
Braden makes his way downstairs, avoiding all eye contact as much as possible. He notices the feet of his oldest sister lightly swinging as she watches TV on the couch. To go with that, a fruity sensation fills the room, likely from the overbearing perfume still making its rounds in the otherwise dull space. Making sure not to breathe too much, he enters the kitchen and finds his mom working at a white bag. She spends a second or too struggling to open it before noticing Braden enter the room.
"Hey honey," She says, stopping her ****. "You think you can help Mommy open this bag of sugar? It's impossible to open."
She hands the bag over to her son, watching as he takes it with a questioning look.
"Ummm, sure. The scissors didn't work?" He says with no conviction, still a bit frazzled by the events that took place earlier. As he avoids eye contact with his mother, she turns back around to focus on the other baking tasks at hand.
"Couldn't find them, now hurry. I wanna have this cake ready for tomorrow," She begins whisking some eggs. As she does, Braden notices her round ass swing with the rhythm of the whisking. He doesn't spend more the a second looking before turning around. "Who is the cake for anyway?"
"Oh jeez, you already forget your cousin Julie's birthday? Didn't we just talk about this not too long ago?" She says.
Braden's eyes widen. He suddenly remembers having this talk at the dinner table last week.
"Yeah, sorry, I just forgot. The days are blurring together a little bit." He says, making work of the bag. Without much effort, he puts a rip through the top and looks inside. Expecting to find the sugar, Braden is confused when he finds not only the sweet white powder, but a piece of paper folded up.
