Chapter 50

At the gate?
It's not always about you...
"Good," you hear the master's voice in your thoughts but it's hard to tell whether he really is pleased or not.
"You have opened the gate to the Church yard. You have let the zombies in. But! You did this by making the gate about you. You used self to get what you wanted. This is a true and powerful technique. Of the three forces at war in this 'house' who do you think focuses on self the most? Fear? Fighting? Or fucking? To use other words; self preservation, **** or lust? As a lieutenant in the army of lust you should think carefully about your answer."
Your vision swims. You can now see the insides of the Church. It seems that you must be up in the rafters or floating near the ceiling. Try as you might you can't seem to control any of your movement; you seem to be stuck watching the scene.
"To past this test you must prove that you can use your new skills without a focus on yourself. All you need to do is topple the cross from the altar. You'll find the zombies cannot go near it."
You survey the scene. Humans hide and cower in the church. There are at least four groups; all different ages, some old, some younger, some men, some female, some clearly hiding, some ready for a fight and one of the men is already stripping off his clothes and walking naked, cock erect, towards the zombie horde.
In seconds you find you can control the zombies. At first you send a female zombie towards the naked man. Then you make her veer off and towards the altar - only to find that something stops her from walking towards it. You send two male zombies towards the naked human, wondering what his reaction would be - but all he does is close his eyes, apparently resigned to his fate.
It seems you control this mob of twenty or so zombies... but can you use that to pass this test at all?
Does this challenge defeat you?
