She can't let it go.

"What do you want me to do?"She yells in anguish, drawing the attention of everyone who wasn't already looking, "I love you! I did since we were kids, but you always turned me down! I just wanted you to give me a chance but you never did! I was losing my mind over why and my heat pushed me over the edge! Why can't you at least stop treating me like this? I never wanted to hurt you Remus, but you were the only person who I could envision being with and living a happy life! I don't want to have a loveless marriage!"

You don't flinch or look surprised, but you do close your eyes and take a deep breath, "You ruined any chance of that dream with me. Look for someone else."

“Don’t you think I’ve tried?” She fires back, frustrated tears in her voice, “When you demanded I stay away I tried to find anyone who could make me feel like you do! Anyone who could make me feel even a fraction of what I feel for you and none of them were able!”

Accalia looks at her in pity, but your positions are now clear, “You hurt him. If you were really sorry, you wouldn’t be acting out here to try to inspire sympathy.”

Adolpha glares at her, a sudden understanding why you have never reciprocated her feelings, “It’s not an act! How would you feel if he decided he didn’t want you? How would you feel if he left you behind for someone else you never thought about?”

"I would've been heartbroken." Accalia replies honestly, "But if it meant he was happy I would've given my blessing. I love him enough to be able to let him go if it would preserve his smile and peace of mind. You can't do that, you don't love him enough to do that. You'd have him broken and stay with you as long as it meant he was yours. You took advantage of a time when he was physically incapable of rejecting you and you're not even sorry about it happening, you're just sorry that it didn't turn out giving you what you wanted."

Adolpha bit her lip and Fang takes this moment to insert himself into the conversation, "You didn't see him after what you did. You wrecked him and tore him up inside in a way that won't ever go away or heal. Maybe there isn't anyone like him here, but there is the whole world out there and plenty of people who'll treat you like a queen. Honestly you should cut your losses and just let go."

"Let go?" She barks humorlessly, "What the hell would you now about that? You have no standing to talk to me about that!"

You growl, "As my best-friend in the whole wide world - Accalia not counting since she's more - he has more than enough 'standing'. Especially since he's right."

Adolpha frowns but she takes a deep breath to stare at you, "You realize that I know the terms of your contract. Everyone of your potential partners did although we didn't know it was about Accalia that you literally out-stubborned the elders. Pyshical compatability will be something you have to explore."

You scowl, digging out her ruined file and literally throwing it in her face "I won't be with you. I'd rather fuck a cactus than let you ever touch me like that again."

She instinctively looks over the folder and her eyes water at the hurtful comments before her eyes flick to your face.

"Every word on the folder is what I think of you." You growl firmly, "Now do me and my fiance a favor and kindly fuck off."

She hiccups a sob, "I'm sorry Remus... I can't just stop. You mean too much to me."

With her piece siad , she turns away and leaves, shoulder shaking in muffled crying as she clutches the file to her chest so no one can read the comments scrawled on it. The cafeteria is quiet and you can see several of your peers frowning at you in disapproval, or at least something lile you-could've-been-**** but you simply take a breath and go back to eating.

"Think she got the message?" Accalia whispers.

"Personally?" Fang murmurs, "I don't think she cares."
