"Never have I ever had sex."

I feel I should clarify, it wasn't like I was unappealing or anything. I was in a long-term relationship at school for a few years, and we fooled around a bit (okay, a lot), but I just never felt ready to go all the way. I think maybe the relationship wasn't right, because I sure felt ready now. I almost felt the need to defend myself in front of my new flatmates, but I was the one who brought it up so I kept my mouth shut. I was comforted when Emily and Tim didn't drink either.

Allie was to my left, and went next. "Uh, never have I ever had sex with more than one person?"

"At the same time?" asked Laura with a grin.

"Oh, no, just, ever. But, uh, I guess two at the same time counts."

Laura and Jack drank.

"Never have I ever, um..." Tim scrolled through a list of questions he found on some website on his phone. "Oh! Masturbated outside my own home."

Jack drank. So did Emily and Laura. And me.

"Never have I ever," said Emily, "been seen naked by anyone outside my family."

Everyone except Tim drank.

"Never have I ever," said Jack, with purpose, looking around the circle at the four girls, "shaved my pubic region bare."

We all grimaced a little. Something about the question felt just a little too personal. But hey, that was the game.
