Backseat Consciousness can Alter Reality

On a normal night while I was in a deep sleep, I was visited in my dreams by an unknown entity, it felt like a disembodied voice in my head that didn't seem real. The voice offered me powers to alter reality to my desires and influence people to my will, however it came at a price. If I was to accept, I would be trapped forever inside my own subconscious, cursed to watch myself live a life that I would have no control in.

But that was not all, there was more to the power than a simple altering of something, as any change made to reality would alter everyone and everything to adapt to the new reality, including the memories of the previous world, everyone accept for me, I would retain my memories and be able to see the changes that no one else can. Caution must be given though as I can change reality too far and become a completely different person, potentially losing myself, but it might not be too bad, maybe a new me is what I wanted, the decision was a tough one.

Being relegated to my own subconscious was not a pleasant thought, but as I thought it over, most people had a little voice in the back of their heads, giving them ideas and telling them to do things, and I suppose I would become that voice. There is a chance that you could be listened to by my conscious mind yet it could very easily ignore me as if I weren't there, and that is where the influence command comes in, able to **** a thought into my conscious head that had to be followed. This power also came with the added ability of having a certain affect on others minds as well, allowing them to be influence and not just myself, which could open up a whole realm of possibilities.

After the knowledge of the powers I could receive was given to me, I was given a simple yet difficult choice, I could wake up having no memories of this dream ever happening and continue to live my life as normal, or I could accept the gift being offered to me and change my path forever while trapping me in a tomb of my own mind.

Thinking long and hard about the powers and what they mean, I felt like I had **** but to accept. This was an amazing ability and opportunity to change my life for the better, creating a new future for myself that would have otherwise been impossible. I may not get to live it myself, but I can at least watch as the new me lives in a better world that I lay out for him.

(Authors Note: This story is going to be a slow build but I'll try not to make it too long before any action happens.)
