Yeah, anywhere's better than this cave

You step through the hole, letting the tapestry swish closed behind you.

You can't even see the walls of the tunnel as you fumble your way along, **** to keep one hand trailing along the wall and the other held out straight ahead. The tunnel curves and dips down several times along its length. You can only guess which direction you're going or where you could even end up.

You hear a growl reverberate along the tunnel behind you, quickening your pace.

Eventually your hand collides with a horizontal rod. Feeling about there are more rods above and below it. A ladder? It seems to lead up.
