Hinata fights a bear and goes deeper into the jungle

As if to take her back on track, a mighty bear roars behind the pond and rushes toward Hinata. His hide was filled with scars from people who tried to kill him. Fighting such an animal is folly, especially for a naked woman without any of her ninja tools.

The obvious thing to do would be to run away, so of course, Hinata stands her ground and picks a fight with the colossal animal. Surprisingly, she comes up with a smart plan.

Her clan's fighting style, the Gentle Palm Fist, strikes its opponent's internal organs using chakra. It doesn't matter how thick the bear's hide is so long as she hits the weak spot. That's where her white eyes, the Byakugan, come in; a Jutsu that gives her near x-ray vision.

So, Hinata casts an illusion to distract the angry animal. The bear strikes the illusion while she positions herself behind him to deal the finishing blow. Sadly, it does not go to plan. The bear's mighty paws break open a log, and a host of angry bees come pouring out.

The bear is driven back by the swarm and they buzz over Hinata. This is an enemy she can't fight, so her only option is to run away. “If only Shino were here,” Hinata laments as she runs buck naked into the jungle, the bramble scratching her skin without piercing it.

She reaches a cliff, a fast river flowing underneath her. There is a small path along the edge. Hinata follows the tail and tries to shimmy forward before the bees catch up to her.

The patch is so narrow that half her bare feet are sticking out. The mountain is at her back, and it feels coarse as she shimmies along the rock face.

Suddenly, the ground in front of Hinata crumbles. She is stuck between a hole and a swarm of angry bees. She remembers Tsunade's advice out of the blue: "Bravery is nothing more than the absence of fear."

Somehow, these words convince her to jump across the newly formed chasm, apparently forgetting that ninjas can walk on walls.

Sadly, the abyss is too wide. Hinata misses her jump and plummets down the earth. She unceremoniously splashes into rapids.
