Into a new routine

The next couple days were interesting. While it hadn't been in Caroline's plan for Carol to become her mother, she was willing to pivot to this new plan.

"Mom, how are you doing?" Caroline announced as she stood outside the bathroom door. While her 'mother' wasn't taking particularly long, she would need some adjustments.

"Pretty good. Do you need something from me?" Carol answered, doing her best to imitate someone far older than she actually was. The results... weren't quite where they needed to be. Thankfully, Carol had plenty of time before she would really need to put her voice to the test.

"Yes, actually. I was hoping to do up your makeup." Caroline answered and watched the bathroom door open. Stepping through, she set a makeup kit down on the counter. While it would've been a good idea to bring a chair as well, that thought hadn't occurred to Caroline when she grabbed the makeup kit.

"Oh, I would love that." Carol answered and watched her daughter open the kit up.
