Redundant

Getting to the door of the building I take a deep breath and breathe out “here we go “ I say as I open the door and walk in. Walking down the hall students are taking pictures and hearing whistles and clapping. No touching though which is odd. Maybe some students heard about that incident with that picture kid the other day. But he did deserve it though. But then Friday there was some touching but in a respectful way. Then towards the end it was almost normal. Hard to figure out these students sometimes. Looking around and see a couple other students doing their dares as well. Like the bunny girl and the homeless guy.

Heading towards class I see Becky and Susan talking. Actually Becky has a wedding gown on. Didn’t know she was on the list for a dare too. “Who’s the lucky girl ?” I ask as I approach them. “Anna but not until next month “ Becky says looking at me. “Your actually doing it huh” Susan says taking a picture of me with her phone. “Is that for you or Penny “ I ask looking at her “both actually “ Susan says smiling. “Didn’t know you were on the list though Becky “ I ask “ was but not as popular as yours was” Becky says. “Well that’s understandable “ Susan says “but you still look stunning in the dress but hopefully not the same for next month “ I say “no I have a different one for that “ Becky says. “Well that’s good “ I say. “Hey where’s your backpack Cindy “ Susan asks “oh I got my books on a tablet now so don’t need the physical books “ I say “but I thought we didn’t get that option this year “ Becky says “we didn’t but I have a friend who was able to do it “ I say “cool maybe I could look into that” Becky says “let me know too as it’s tiring carrying these books around “ Susan says. “I’ll text you two the information later as we need to get to class” I say as I see the crowd thinning out even though some students are still taking pictures. “Ok” both say as we enter the classroom.
