Street Fair

While in flight I notice a Street Fair going on. It looks like there's food vendors, games and even a few rides set up. The street is closed off to traffic. This looks like fun! I land in a close by alley where no one is around and turn back to human form. Since I've already fed for the night on some lady after those brats flicked my balls while I was in bat form I decide to enjoy the fair.

I'm wearing a light pink sundress this evening and a pair of white sandals. I get some money out of my purse to purchase some tickets for the rides and get in line to go on the ferris wheel.

On the ferris wheel I can see the whole street. The different colored lights strung up on the trees and lampposts, the kids with their parents having a good time. I can smell the delicious fried food, and although I can't eat human food anymore I still enjoy the smell.

After the ferris wheel I go on a ride called the Egg Scrambler that spins you around really fast. I scream with delight as we spin, the lights of the fair being a blur and mixing together in a kaleidoscope of different colors.

They even have a small roller-coaster set up on the courthouse lawn. While it by no means rivals anything at an amusement park it still is a joy to ride. Oh, I haven't enjoyed myself like this in a long time.

I play some of the games, I win a stuffed penguin at a BB gun target game that I give to a little girl. I win a mug with a clown on it at the ring toss game and lastly I come to the test of strengh game where you use a mallet to hit a ball up a pole to try to ring a bell.

The Carny working the game looks at me." C'mon little lady test your strength and win a prize." Being a vampire I have to hold back a bit since we have superior strength to humans but I do hit the bell and win a Teddy Bear. " a Teddy Bear for the the little lady!"

After that I fly back home. I must have been quite a sight, a bat carrying a Teddy Bear. Since mom's **** I have been living with Cassandra. I've sold the house and with the exception of certain pictures of her and a jade pendant on a gold necklace of hers I've donated her belongings to Goodwill. It's what she would have wanted. Plus being in that empty house without her was too much for me.

Getting back home to Cassandra's I put my new Teddy Bear in my coffin. The rest of my stuff still in boxes, I take my sandals off and start unpacking . Putting my clothes in the closet and in the dresser.

As dawn approaches I strip and kiss the picture of my mother goodnight and get in my coffin. Clutching my new Teddy Bear I go to sleep.
