“Hi Jade “ I say to the lady sitting next to me “hi Jessie” I say to the lady driving. Actually Jessie is Becky’s mom. “Hey Cindy “ they both say. “Well we have a reliable tip from one of our contacts that we might find some of the missing girls that have disappeared lately “ Jade says. “Hopefully we can get these girls back home if that’s the case “ Jessie says “even better if we catch whoever took them and take them to jail” Jade adds. Me and Mary have helped the police at times to help capture people they are looking for. This is the third time this year that they have asked for our assistance. Given our skills we actually have more training than the police academy in some things. Though we are limited in what weapons we can use but the ones we use are very effective.

Five minutes later we pull up to a location on some side street. “The house is 3 houses down…the blue one with heavy shades on the windows “ Jackie says. “Remember that we are just investigating and at anytime we are in danger to get out of there “ Jade says. “Cindy and me will head through the back yard “ Jessie says “and me and Mary will check out the front and side “. Jade says. “Ok let’s go “ Jackie says opening the drivers side door. Which the three of us also open our doors and get out closing the doors behind us.

As Jade and Mary start heading towards the front me and Jessie jog a little and go down the ally to the back. Getting to the back garage and seems ok. We agree to not to talk so no one knows we are around. We careful open the side gate keeping a eye out for anything suspicious. Their garbage cans are just inside the gate and when we check they are empty. Which makes this even stranger. Heading down the narrow path we stop at the garage side door and it’s unlocked. Looking inside and there is a 2 door 1967 Chevy truck that surprisingly is in good shape. Jessie writes down the license plate. Closing the door carefully as we leave. Then continue down the path to the small patio that has a couple chairs and a barbecue. All are clean so must of been used recently. Getting to the back door and it’s unlocked. Jessie looks at me surprised. Which is understandable. “Who leaves their house doors unlocked.” I say to myself. Notice Jessie putting her hand on her gun as we slowly open the door. Going inside and this is a small entrance way to put shoes and jackets but the rack on the wall is empty. Moving further in and we are now in the kitchen. Pretty clean and organized. We do notice a pot on the stove though. When we lift the lid seems to be soup and grabbing the spoon that is next to the stove on the counter we stir it and seems to be chicken soup. Putting the spoon back down quietly and putting the lid back down quietly. We touch the side of the pot and still warm. So someone just cooked it not that long ago. Also given the size of the pot that could feed 15 people at once. Start heading into the next room which is the dining room. A long wooden table with two chairs on each side and a chair on each end. Nothing on the table. We notice movement coming from the next room and then Mary and Jade are seen coming into view. So they must of gotten in as well. We all then start heading towards the hallway. There’s a small hallway that goes to some rooms and there is stairs that go upstairs. Jade and Mary motion that they will check this floor and me and Jessie start heading upstairs. We are careful when going up the stairs so we don’t make any sound. Which luckily we don’t. Getting upstairs we notice 4 doors that are all closed. At least one has to be a bathroom but not sure which one. And one has to be the master bedroom but not sure which one. But could be the far one. We start checking each one. Starting with the closest one on our right. Opening it up slowly and carefully. We see 6 naked girls on a bed tied up and gagged. Jessie checks the room as I ungag them and cut the ropes with my knife. These girls are between 12 and 18 years old. Whispering to them to be quiet. Once that’s done we whisper them to stay there as we check out the other rooms. And they agree. Going back into the hall and closing that door carefully. We go to the next door. Slowly and quietly opening it we hear movement. Then Jessie and Jade lift him up and take him downstairs.

Mary goes over and starts cutting her ropes. “I’m going to check the other rooms “ I say to Mary. “Be careful “ Mary says. So I head out into the hallway and go check the other two doors we haven’t checked yet. Opening the first door and that’s the bathroom. Looking around and don’t see anything of interest. Going back into the hall. Heading towards the last door I open the door and hear movement. Looking inside I see this is the master bedroom. Finally getting down to the main floor turning towards the living room I see police officers are here and taking the guy away. “Who’s this “ Jade says walking over to me “this is April Sanders and she hasn’t been in school for a couple days “ I say Noticing Jessie talking to a couple of the other girls. A couple other police officers are talking to others. “Odd as we found 7 backpacks and clothing for 7 girls in a room down here but nothing for 8” Jade says. “Well let’s see who is missing clothes by letting the girls pick out their stuff and maybe get dressed as well “ I say. “Good idea” Jade says. So Jade walks over and talks with Jessie and the other officers who seem to agree to that as well. So Jade and another officer take the girls into the room where the stuff was found. Getting up from the sofa and carrying April I follow Jessie and Mary to the car. On the way I see Jade going into one of the squad cars front passenger seat with a couple of the girls getting in the back seat guess they will be taking them home as well

Getting to the car Mary opens the back seat so I can get in. Get in and have April semi laying down with her head in my lap. Heading back to the car. “These should fit” I say when I get to the door. Moving her to a more sitting position. Putting the sandals down and then pulling the dress over her head. About 10 minutes later we get to her house which is in a more upscale neighborhood with mansions. Driving up the long driveway and pulling up near the front door. Jessie opens her door “I’ll explain to them what is going on “ she says before stepping out. Opening my door and getting out. Then bending down and in I get April out of the car and lift her up like before. Following Jessie as we head to the front door which is double door with stain glass around it. Once at the door she rings the doorbell. A couple minutes later the door opens and a lady in her late 30’s in a long summer dress is standing there. “Yes” she says “Mrs Sanders I’m detective Hardy” Jessie says showing her badge. “We found your daughter “ Jessie says moving to the side so the mother can see me carrying April. “Thank goodness “ she says as she heads out of the door to look at April. “Is she ok” she asks “yes ma’am just sleeping “ Jessie says. “That’s good “ she says. “Dorothy “ the mother yells leaning into the doorway A minute later a 40ish lady comes out wearing a maid uniform. “Can you show this young lady April’s bedroom so she can put April in her bed “ she says “certainly mrs Sanders “ the lady says “if you just follow me “ she says as she starts walking. As I start following the maid I hear her mother ask “how you find her “ directing the question to Jessie. Following the maid we go up wide half circle stairs to the second floor. Which I can tell just by the decoration that this is a very rich family. Following the maid down the hall and past a few doors. Walking on the soft red carpet. Getting to a door and opening it for me. We both walk in. Her bedroom is double the size of mine. Basically the same set up with own bathroom and a walk-in closet. The pink everywhere is almost blinding though. Pink carpet and pink walls and pink ceiling. Heading over to her queen size water bed with pink sheets and pink blanket and pink pillow covers Actually she has like 6 pillows on the bed of different sizes and different shade of pink. Setting her on the bed I take the sandals off and put them to the side. The maid starts moving the sheet and blanket in the middle of the bed down. And I lift April a bit and move her further up the bed so her head is on the pillows Then I grab her legs and bend them at the knee as the maid opens the sheets a bit more so I can get her legs under the sheets and blanket. Police officers are not allowed to accept rewards or money for doing their job as its against the department policy. “Dorothy “ the mother yells again. A minute later the maid comes around the corner with two things in her hands. The maid hands one to the mother that looks like a checkbook. “Thanks “ the mother says While the mother is filling out the check the maid hands me a 20oz pop bottle with some liquid in it “for you for later “ she whispers while winking at me. Not sure what it is but looks familiar for some reason. “Here you go” the mother says giving me the check and handing the checkbook back to the maid. “Thank you mrs sanders “ I say Before I get to look at it “we should be moving on now as we have taken up your time and we have things to catch up on as well “ Jessie says “well you two have a good day then and thank you again for bringing April home “ she says “your welcome “ Jessie says as the two of us head out the front door closing it behind us. Heading back to the car I take a look at the check and it says $75,000. Whoa “well Mary deserves half of this as she was there too” I say to myself as I get back into the car and closing the door. Once Jessie closes her door “how it go in there…. You two were gone for a while. “ Mary says. “Well I was talking to the mother and Cindy was taking April upstairs “ Jessie says as she starts driving. Putting the bottle and check to the side as I get my phone out and unlock it. Going to PayPal app and send payment and $37,500 to Mary Lewis for half reward and send and approved. Which I can always scan the check later and put it in my bank account. Hear Mary phone goes off as she got a notification about the transfer. She looks at her phone and then turns and looks at me before turning straight again. “You didn’t have to “ Mary text me. “I know but you deserve it just as anyone “ I text back “you were there as well when we rescued those girls “ I text to Mary. “Thanks your a good friend “ Mary text back. We both know that we don’t do this for the money but actually volunteer our time to help. So anytime a reward is given we always split it between us.

Getting back to my house “thanks for helping us today and rescue some girls and put another bad guy in jail” Jessie says “hey no problem you know we are always here to help “ I say as I open the door “and we appreciate you two for everything you do “ Jessie says. Grabbing the bottle and the check and making sure I got my phone I get out of the car. “Have a good day you two “ I say as I close the door. Watching them drive off as I head to the front door.
