Chapter 5

What’s Sophie like?
Hornier than expected
After their fantastical first encounter Sophie explained the basics of Links and missions to him well into the night. She seemed pretty confident Leon would change his mind about taking the money once he understood Links better, but in the end he still chose the money.
“Booooo~ You picked the $500? Boooring.”
In spite of multiple requests that she respect his personal space, she sat with her chin on his shoulder and her breasts squished against his back, watching him fiddle with his camera.
She’d never bothered getting dressed.
“We need the money. Besides, didn’t you say Rank rewards are guaranteed to turn up again?”
“But you could get way better stuff if you ranked up your Links first!”
“I’ll get around to it,” he replied. “And will you please get your tits off me so I can think?”
Her tits didn’t budge. Or rather, they did budge, they just didn’t budge the way he requested. Instead she **** them up and down his back while humming cheerily. “What’s wrong Sheepy? Can’t get Sophie’s boobies out of your head?”
Sex was an activity he’d foregone since whisking Jessie away from Florida, so having a naked woman around—even an obnoxious one—was making him all too conscious of his years long dry spell.
“Put some clothes on. This isn’t why I invited you here,” he snapped, but his heart wasn’t behind the reprimand.
Sophie slid a hand under his shirt and dug her fingers into his chest hair.
“Are you sure~? This type of service is Sophie’s specialty.”
“I don’t want a service like-”
The tip of her tongue swirled wetly in his ear leaving little room for protest. He stopped talking as she shifted on the bed to lean heavier against his back. “Sophie really wants your cock~” she breathed into his ear.
The thin curtain “wall” of his room suddenly didn’t feel private at all. If they started fooling around and Jessie came out…
Even if she came out of her room she wouldn’t look in here. You’re just making up excuses to talk yourself out of this.
“You’re too proud to say you want me, but Sophie knows~” the blue haired girl purred, the gentle rumble of her voice salsa dancing across his eardrums. Fingers wrapped around the swelling bulge of his crotch and stroked the fabric covering it.
“You keep everything so bottled up. Your feelings, your desires, your…” Sophie made a tight fist and kissed his neck, “…yummy dick. But we’ll change all that right after you let Sophie in.”
Leon couldn’t trust himself to talk. Any refusal he made now would just sound halfhearted and weak.
She rubbed his girth a few more times before getting up on all fours to crawl in front of him. Then she was pushing him back, clambering on top of him so that all he could see were freckles, tan skin, crimson eyes and big tantalizing boobs.
This isn’t how I operate. I never lose control like this. I can’t lose control like this because if I do…
Her finger traced his naval. “We’re connected, you know. Silly Sophie forgot to mention she can hear every dirty thought in your walled off head~”
That bothered him more than anything else going on. If she could really hear his thoughts then not even his own mind—the one place he could occasionally find peace—was safe from scrutiny.
“It’s okay. Sophie won’t judge you. Sophie won’t hurt you. Lose control for once in your life,” she whispered, pushing up his shirt and leaning in to plant hot kisses across his chest. He swallowed hard as her bare breasts made contact with his skin for the first time, just above his swollen groin. “I promise I’ll be worth it.”
She clearly had a way of getting what she wanted. The only things keeping him from pouncing on her were the many years spent keeping a **** grip on the reins of his desires, because the haunting memories of everyone who’d let him down gave him no other choice. Sophie would do the same if he let her. All the others had.
The truth of that grip, of the self-refusal of his desires, was that he simply felt too much when he gave the reins slack. Hell, he already felt an attachment to Sophie and they’d met, what, four hours ago?
No, he couldn’t let go. Because letting go would be letting in, and letting in would turn to heartbreak.
“There’s nothing wrong with feeling attached to someone now and again,” Sophie said in an uncharacteristically wise voice. The words tickled the chest hairs her face was buried in.
“Stay out of my head.”
“Sophie can’t be your lover, but she’ll stay by your side and never judge your secrets.”
Warmth filled his hands as they grasped her hips. He hadn’t realized he was reaching for them. “I have some pretty dark secrets.”
He willfully ignored the other part of what she’d said.
Sophie drifted toward his face, her thick blue hair tickling his chest on the way up, and kissed his cheek. “Where Sophie comes from, sex expresses all forms of love. Not just romantic love, but the friends and family flavor of love too.”
The emphasis she put on the word family made Leon look away in shame as he muttered, “Must be nice. Shit like that just hurts people here.”
“With Links it doesn’t have to. You could make yourself a private utopia just like mine.”
“I’m not a big fan of manipulating people for my own benefit. My father did that.”
“I’ll tell you an itty bitty secret,” she said, referring to herself in the first person for a change. “Before Shepard’s pick a sheep, they get to dive deeeeep into their subconscious. And do you know what I found while I was there?”
Leon shook his head.
“A gloomy doomy depressed guy who certainly, most definitely, wouldn’t use Links to hurt anyone. That’s why I broke all sorts of laws to-“ she stopped herself from saying something outrageous again, “-why I campaigned to be assigned to you. Sophie didn’t want to be assigned to some icky ****.”
“Okay but how do you know I won’t change when-“
“You won’t.” It didn’t sound like baseless coddling.
Sophie was everything he’d been needing for a long time. Someone who could see through his defenses and still call him a good person. And maybe, just maybe, someone who wouldn’t disappear.
“Now will you please, please please please, fuck Sophie silly?”
Does Leon grant her request?
