Shared Interests (Older is Better, Green Card)

Caiden sat down at the table first, then his dad. After the shower Greg looked brand new, no longer red faced and looking healthy. As long as you ignored the stench of his room he seemed like a decent guy now. David was next to sit down, making sure not to pass next to Greg. Since the incident in the morning David was happy it would all be normal, but every time he passed next to Greg the man slapped his ass. Kody was the last one show up, the tokens standing as he did.

Caiden nodded to the rest of the table and took a card, the dog running forward four spots. Caiden waited until the card was ready, the picture of the dog and wolf touching snouts seemed much more intimate than when he first saw it. Caiden glanced up at his brother, a small smile forming on his lips. "You need to teach me some of that wolf language." Kody smiled and yapped to his brother, confusing the table.

"That was to show my excitement, uh sorry." Kody rubbed the back of his neck with a small smile. Caiden just chuckled and shook his head, turning the card around.

"Older is Better; To date someone younger than you seems really weird and slightly wrong, your better off going with an older partner." Caiden seemed unaffected by the change, merely shrugging it off. Greg however had his eyes scrunched up in disgust, after all his wife was younger than him. What felt like love now seemed... strange.

Caiden grabbed another card, watching the dog rush another four spots. When he looked back down at the card he frowned, the card had a bright neon green background. It wasn't a good pair with the artwork on it. He started to flip it over when the game spoke again. "Green Cards are rare events which have the power to change the game for better or worse."

Caiden bit his lip. The others watched with wide eyes as he flipped it over. "Token Cards!; With this new type of card the game is sure to get more interesting. These feature permanent changes for a big boost to your placement on the board." Caiden set the card down slowly. The second it hit the table the animals all let out a sound. Kody winced as his wolf howled out an alert, one that spoke of danger.

Then as if nothing happened the board turned silent, a new set of cards were off to the side in bright red.
