Chapter 7 by Tavorn Tavorn

Does he take her there?

Yes

The guard sighed. “Well, I can’t leave you here,” he said in resignation. “C’mon, I'll give you a ride.”

With his hand still around her wrist, Lauren had **** but to follow the man out of the park and into the parking lot. Hopefully, her clothes would still be on the park bench she’d left them on when she came back for them. Her special padding was expensive! Not to mention her wallet and keys were buried in them. Thankfully, she kept a spare key to her apartment underneath her mat.

“You’re lucky I have a niece around your age,” the man said, opening the back door of his car. “I’ve already got a booster seat ready.”

A booster seat? “It’s fine, I can sit in a regular seat,” Lauren said awkwardly.

The guard shook his head. “Sorry, little lady, but you’re a bit too small for that to be safe.” Before Lauren could react, he picked her up, plopping her down into the seat. “Now, go ahead and stay still while I buckle you up.”

Lauren scowled, but did as the man said. She was pretending to be a child, after all. She didn’t want to do anything that might make him suspicious. Though…a booster seat? Just how little did he think she was?

“There we are!” the man said, satisfied. Lauren looked down at herself, cringing internally. Not only was she naked, but now she was buckled into a hot pink booster seat like a kindergartener. She’d probably be even more mortified if she wasn’t still drunk. Thank god for ****. “Do you want any toys?”

“No thanks,” Lauren said stiffly.

The man shrugged, before closing the door. After a few moments, they were on the road. Doing her best to ignore her ridiculous circumstances, Lauren closed her eyes, and tried to think about what she’d do when they arrived at her apartment.

Closing her eyes was a mistake; it was late and she’d had a lot to drink. Before long, Lauren was fast asleep, snoring. Anyone seeing her would have mistaken her for a little girl, up way past her bedtime. Which, in a way, she was.

“Hello, this is the Sunny Smiles Orphanage,” a woman behind a desk said distractedly, before glancing up. “Oh! Hello, Frank. What are you doing here?”

“I’m here about this one,” Frank said, gesturing to the young girl he was holding. She was naked, and appeared to be fast asleep. “Found her playing on the playground equipment in the park. Tried taking her home, but nobody answered the door when I rang.”

“Well, that’s irresponsible of them!” the woman said disapprovingly. “And they let her run around this time of night, without a stitch of clothing on?”

“Apparently, she snuck out. I was wondering if I could drop her off with you, at least for tonight.”

“Of course! The rest of the children are away on a trip, so there’s plenty of room. Though if her parents really are that bad, she may end up staying with us for a while.” Standing up, the woman accepted the sleeping girl, who didn’t even stir. “I’ll just put her to bed for now; we can see about getting her some clothes in the morning.”

“Thanks, Debbie,” the man said gratefully. “Now, I’ve got to get back to my post. Call me if you need anything.”

“Oh, I’m sure we’ll be fine,” the woman insisted, carrying Lauren into the building. “Looking after this one will give me something to do. Don’t worry; I won’t let her out of my sight!”
