What's next?
Where am I?
I woke up on a soft floor with my eyes closed. I felt something uncomfortable around my neck and reached up to find some kind of thick plastic collar around it, which was unsettling.
I tried to sit up but winced when the headache made itself known. Instead, I looked around. The room was reasonably sized; about the size of my bedroom, in fact. Everything was padded with a soft gray material except one wall.
"I know that's not a mirror," I said with disdain.
No reply.
"Hello?" I asked my reflection. Exhausted, I rolled so that I was laying on my back and groaned when I realised that the light was now in my eyes. "Where am-- Can I at least have some pain killers?"
Still no reply.
"Hello?!"
Nothing. I rest my right arm over my eyes and napped.
I woke with the same headache, although I had no idea how much later.
With nothing better to do, I looked over to the mirror and an idea struck me. Someone might yet be watching. I reach my hand over and rest it on my side between me and the two way mirror and thought about what I wanted to command of them. It had to be succinct since I have to use the hand technique again, so I needed something simple.
Deciding on 'free me,' I raised my index finger and thumb and began to tap my rhythmic message. However, as soon as my finger got near the gray padding, a terrifying shock from my collar made me jerk upright, momentarily forgetting my headache. I slapped the ground to discharge the adrenalin coursing through me.
"FUCK!" I'm still not sure why I looked around the empty room. "What the FUCK. How is that legal? I want a lawyer!"
My headache returned, forcing me back down gently.
I closed my eyes and waited for either my headache to subside, or for someone to appear. Hopefully a lawyer.
Hours later, not that I minded the sleep, a voice finally spoke through speakers invisible to me.
"Are you ready to try again?"
