In her desperation to leave, Ruby didn't quite catch that she was careening towards a group of people idly chatting. Unfortunately for them, Ruby slammed into them, causing her to bounce off them and hit a table, which just happened to have a bit of a rough corner exposed, which she hit in such a way that her panties were briefly exposed to it as the skirt flipped up. As she bounced off the table, the corner caught several bits of the garment, which combined with her weight and momentum, ripped the garment and snapped the waistband. She came to a rest on the floor, her butt planted on the ground and her legs spread wide, showing off her crotch. Ruby was stunned for a second, before coming to her senses and seeing a crowd of people staring down at her and her exposed bits.

With a cry, she bolted up, or tried to. Someone was standing on her cape, which meant she couldn't go anywhere. A quick yank of the strings solved that issue, and she was up and running again, both hands occupied with holding her skirt down in the front and back.
