What's next?
Heather finds him
Billy lay there, KO’d again on the couch, for over an hour. Sleeping away peacefully after his little sister’s surprise bareknuckle knockout. Eventually, Heather returned home from work, jiggling her keys in the front door as she pushed her way inside.
“I’m home!” she announced. There was no response.
She moved inside and towards the kitchen, carrying bags of groceries for dinner. A few steps in, Heather noticed something and stopped.
There was slow, quiet, and steady breathing coming faintly from the living room couch. The kind that only a deeply, deeply asleep person makes.
Turning her head, she saw Billy, reclined and sunken into the cushions. His eyes were glazed and his slack jaw hung open dumbly, his arms outstretched and limp either side of him. His entire body was halfway off the couch’s seat and onto the floor, his lower half having evidently slid down.
The busty goddess blinked a few times, surprised to find her strong boxer son in such a humiliating, defeated position again. Out like a light.
Shaking her head, and with a sigh, she finished walking to the kitchen and began to unpack the groceries. A few minutes later, when she was finished, she returned to the living room to check on her still-napping boxing champ son.
“Anyone home?” she asked, and waved a hand slowly back and forth in front of his open, glazed eyes. There was no reaction, no signs of intelligence behind those dim eyes.
With a disappointed sigh, Heather reached out with a single finger and placed it underneath his chin. She used it to gently lift and close his hanging-open jaw.
“Anna!” Heather called up the stairs, cupping a hand to her mouth. “Did you knock out Billy again?”
“No!” a reply came back down the stairs.
“Well he didn’t do this to himself, sweetheart!” Heather called back. “You’re not in trouble. You just need to leave your big brother alone for a while. He’s been knocked out enough already!”
“I didn’t knock him out!”
Heather sighed again, and shook her head. It was obvious her children must have had some sort of disagreement while she was out - a disagreement that Anna ended up winning comfortably.
“I had better not find him out cold like this again, Anna!” Heather called up. “I mean it!”
She turned her head back to her sleepy, snoozing son. His jaw had fallen open again, and his glazed eyes were still vacant. His strong chest rose and fell with each of his steady breaths.
“What am I going to do with you?” Heather asked, shaking her head. She waved a hand in front of his eyes to no effect once again. “You’re embarrassing yourself, Billy…”
She thought for a moment. About how she had KO’d her “undefeated” son after just a few hours of training. About how his nerdy little sister had done it too. Clearly, he wasn’t as good at boxing as they had thought.
And that’s when she got an idea.
