Setting Strawberry Straight

With a low chuckle you shake your head, a sly grin crossing your features as you hold out a single gloved hand towards the shaking Kurosaki, “As I said, I’m John Doe Genryusai and I’m the Taicho of the 8th division of the Gotei 13. I also happen to be the current Deadman Shinigami of this or any other dimension.”

The strawberry blond kid stares at your hand for a few moments, his expression locked in one of contemplation for a few moments before he returns the small grin, his hand reaching up and grabbing hold of yours as you help the strawberry stand, “I have no idea what the hell a Deadman Shinigami is but since Rukia seems to trust you, I guess I can too. The name if Kurosaki Ichigo, resident part time Shinigami of Karakura town.”

“Nice to meet you strawberry,” you chuckle which causes the rest of those gathered to laugh, something that draws a scowl from Ichigo and an embarrassed blush from the lanky blond teen.

“Yeah, yeah laugh it up,” he grumbles, his gaze still turned up to you as he speaks, “not the first time I’ve heard it and it won’t be the fucking last.”

“Heh, sorry kid but it’s just too easy,” you rumble, your voice accompanying your hand ruffling the kids blond hair, “You’re almost as blond as Rangiku-hime.”

Swatting your hand away Ichigo glares but instead of following up your comment with an insult he merely sighs, his hand reaching up and scratching the back of his neck as he speaks, “Look, about the whole…attacking the hollows thing…I’m sorry about that.” Casting a glance over to Tia and her gathered Fraccion Ichigo shivers a bit, his eyes turning back up to yours as he speaks, “My mom was killed by a hollow and I’m not really inclined to meeting nice ones let alone trust them…”

You shrug slightly, “I understand, things like that stick with you for a good long while but trust me when I say you can trust them.” A curt nod is the only response you receive, something Ichigo does before walking over to join his other ‘Karakura Defender’ companions. With that settled you turn to your old problem, the still nervously fidgeting and fearful looking Urahara, “As for you…”

“J-John-san please,” Urahara interrupts you speech, her hands clenching over her trim stomach as she speaks, “I-I know that what I-I’ve done is horrible but i-if you let me make it up to you…I-I promise, y-you will never forget it. Th-This is what I can offer you, m-my undying loyalty until the end of time…”
