Knight Bus!

"Bloody awful way of getting around, but who knows if the potion will wear off by the time I'm asking around for directions in Diagon..." muttered Harry as she walked to the curb.

Harry stuck out her wand into the street for a few seconds before there was a loud crack that heralded her chosen mode of travel. The triple deckered purple monstrosity rolled to a gentle stop and showing absolutely no sign of damage from the ludicrous speed Harry knew it could travel at. The doors opened with a hiss and Harry smiled at the bored visage of Stan Shunpike absently reading a copy of the Daily Prophet while delivering his spiel.

"Welcome to the Knight Bus, best form of travel for the beleaguered Witch or Wizard. It'll be eleven sickles ta' go anywhere in the country. Thirteen for a cup of 'ot chocolate. An' fifteen for a 'ot water bottle and toothbrush of your desired colour."

Harry fished out a galleon from her pocket and held it out to Stan. "Will this get me a seat where I'm not thrown around?" she asked hopefully.

Stan looked up from his paper at the question and at Harry's outstretched galleon and followed it back to it's source. Harry was amused at the way Stan's eyebrows grew wider as they focused on her chest for just a bit too long.

"My eyes are up here." drawled Harry.

Stan's eyes snapped up to her face and his blush became even more profound. "S-Sorry! I didn't mean - I was just gonna - Wow, you're real prett-"

"On the clock, Stan. Do your flirting on your own time." called out Ernie, the bus driver.

Harry giggled and placed the galleon into Stan's frozen hand. "It's fine. This going to Ration Alley?"

"Wha? Oh, yeah. Goes anywhere. I'll just get your change..." Sam floundered around in his pockets as Harry stepped onto the bus. She made sure to keep a tight grip on the bar, knowing what to expect based on her past experience with the vehicle.

BAM!

While she wasn't sent flying, Harry still staggered from the violent and sudden acceleration and stumbled into Stan.

"Easy!" he called out, wrapping a surprisingly strong arm around Harry and steadying her. "First time using the bus?" he asked with an amused smile.

"Second time." grumbled Harry, drawing a laugh from Stan. Despite the unfortunate amount of pimples adorning his face and overall unkempt appearance, Harry had to admit that Stan had a cute smile and nice laugh.

'...Wait. What the hell did I just think about-'

"We got a few seats in the front then if you'd like. It'll take aroun' fifteen minutes to get to Ration Alley." The hopeful tone in his voice let Harry know that he'd probably be trying to chat her up during that entire time.
