Kyla runs away.

Before Alice could even finish thanking Jay, Kyla started running away from them, this prompted Alice to facepalm and Jay got even more confused with everything that was going on.

Alice looked embarrassed knowing she had to say something.

"I'm sorry about that."
"You know, Kyla has some difficulty interacting with guys."
"She ran because she was embarrassed."

Then Alice explained that she convinced Kyla to go there with her, she just needed to watch and she would learn how to be more comfortable talking to guys.

This made the previous interaction make more sense to Jay, she was being flirty just to teach Kyla, and if Kyla ran away embarrassed with just a simple compliment then she probably really had a big issue talking to guys.
