The two began to duke it out, with Annie managing to dodge most of Mikasa's punches and getting several of her punches in. The most critical hits from each fighter was with a head kick from Mikasa and Annie kneeing Mikasa directly in the gut, making her nearly fall. After several strikes the both were battered and bruise, but with Mikasa the most injured, even a bit of blood under her eye which worried Christa but let the fight continue. The two were clinched together, both breathing heavily from the strikes against each other. The two grappled against each other in the clinch, with Mikasa finally getting the upper hand, taking her to the ground and ending up with Annie having her in a full guard.
