General POV

As the ground stopped shaking, people who were yet to escape out of the cave stood up slowly. They gazed warily at the man on the ground: a trace of confusion and fear flashing in their eyes. In their mind the earthquake that just happened had surely something to do with him.

Ember shot a confused glance at Dr Grahamm's direction as if asking him 'What do we do Doc?'.

The latter noticed it and sighed. Thruth be said, he imagined many scenario in which he would come to unveil the mystery shrouding the appearance of super power. Yet, what is happening right now never crossed his mind. In his mind, every single phenomenon in this universe have a rational explanation behind it. So as long as he kept digging he will end up finding an explanation. But here he is now completly at a loss of what to do.

He sighed again and lifted up his hand and looked at the gauger. The device stopped beeping as soon as the last tremor of the earthquake faded. It is as if the huge amount of power which was emanating from here never existed in the first place.

He stilled his resolve and took a step forward and walked toward the mysterious man on the ground.

As he approached the man, the first thing he noticed is his inky black hair. He stopped next to the man and looked at him. His face looked young problably around 18.... 20 years old. He was ghostly pale as if drained of all blood. Probably due to spending an unknow amount of time in this bone freezing place.

Dr Grahamm crouched down and put two fingers under the man's nose..... He wasn't breathing.

Maybe he is already dead tought Dr Grahamm. His fingers then pressed on the man's neck.

As the seconds passed he felt a faint heartbeat, so faint in fact that he tought he imagined it. He kept waiting just to make sure.

Boop...Boop

Dr Grahamm motionned for Ember to approach. As the woman came near him he looked up and said.

"He isn't breathing but his heart is still beating albeit faintly."

"That's strange Doc" Ember replied looking at the mysterious man warily.

"Could you perha-" Dr Grahamm had yet to finish his words when suddenly heavily armored and armed guards rushed inside the cave. They were around twenty and wore matching black uniform. Their faces hidden behind gray masks.

Ember clenched her fist and spat on the ground as an reddish veil like aura surrounded her from head to toe. The ice started to melt under her feet as she muttered under her breath "Alpha Dogs!..."
