You kiss her

You gently grab her face and kiss her, causing her to open her eye´s confused, you stare her confidently in her eye holding the kiss for a minute, then let go.

She looks at you, with no hint of being some omnipotent goddess, just a hurt confused girl, the girl you knew for most of your life and you gently say:

"You really are an idiot!"

Jane looks at you holding her breath, looking nervous before she asks:

"What do you mean?"

"I like you, dummy!" you say

"You like me?" Jane says more like a statement rather than a question.

"Yes, I always did." you reply.

Jane just stares at you, like she doesn't know what she should do, but It´s obvious to you that she wants to ask you something but is afraid of the answer.

You warmly say:

"Jane just ask me and end this farce."

Jane pauses for a second and has trouble with the next few words as she nervously asks:

"Do you... do you love me?"
