Her office

Janice was sitting at her desk, doing some work to prepare things for the marketing meeting. Suddenly, the door to her office swung open. She quickly finished writing what she was focused on.

'Hey.' Said the unmistakable voice of Alec as he walked over to her, Janice looked up and smiled.

'Hi.' She replied, Alec slowed down his approach, taking slow steps as a look of realisation covered his face. What was he looking at? She looked so different.

'Oh my God.' He stated, gobsmacked. Janice leaned back in her chair, smiling at his reaction as she idly placed a hand on her cheek.

'Hmm.' She hummed, thinking about how she was so stunning now that there was no way he would stop loving her, 'It's me.'

Alec just stared, he opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't fin the words. He **** himself to say something.

'A, J, B.' He stumbled over his words. He shook his head, getting his thoughts in order, 'Janice, what did you do to yourself?'

'Creative...skin...management.' She said slowly as she got out her chair and over to Alec. She couldn't help but laugh a little about the explanation. She placed her hands on his shoulders as she leant in and kissed him, briefly, on the lips. He just kept staring at her, so Janice tilted her head back, enabling him to touch and examine her face.

How was her skin so smooth? So perfect? Alec shook his head, he couldn't believe what he was seeing, touching. It couldn't be real. Janice lowered her head to face him again.

'Don't you like how I look?' Janice asked, excited. Alec was still in shock, but his face became a little sterner.

'Of course I do.' Alec stated, 'But, I also liked the way you looked before.'

That hit Janice like a ton of bricks. She felt as if she had been knocked off her feet, even though she was still standing beside the man she loved, her hands on his shoulders. She gave him a weak smile.

'Well, marketing is having a meeting soon.' Janice stated, backing away slightly. He didn't like the new her. How could he not like how beautiful she now was? He would like it soon enough, 'You should make sure all your equipment is sorted with beforehand. And I have to finish this paperwork.'

'Sure.' Alec said, sensing the change in atmosphere. Why had she done this to herself? She was always beautiful, especially to him.

'See you back here in an hour.' Janice stated, returning to her desk.

'Yep.' Alec stated as he turned and left, Janice watching him as he did so. Once he was gone, and the door to her office was closed again, she returned her attention to her work.
