Atlantis Under Siege, No Time to Waist

Luke awoke with his cheek on cold marble.

“What the?” Luke groaned getting up.

“Welcome to the City of Singers,” a familiar voice chimed.

Luke focused in on the voice. High Singer Taylor Swift, Siren Queen of Atlantis sat on a raised throne.

“Dam!” Luke whispered scanning the room.

He stood in a giant palace throne room bathed in blue light. The white marble column architecture was reminiscent of ancient Greece.

“Glad you like it,” Taylor said recognizing his shock.

“Before you ask, your coven members are fine. They are awakening in the next room,” Taylor said walking down to Luke.

Luke turned back to Taylor and couldn’t help but smile at her 6-month pregnant waddle. She wore a long tight white fitting dress. It complimented her pale blue skin and thick figure well.

“What’s so funny?” Taylor asked poking him in the chest.

“Nothing,” Luke said looking up at the Siren Queen’s face.

“Well, thank you for coming. Your coven is the only group on Earth that heeded my request for aid,” Taylor said hands on her wide hips.

“Don’t thank me yet,” Luke said admiring Taylor’s silver hair and pointed ears.

“Bong!”

Luke jumped at the sound. He turned to see two giant doors slowly swing open.

“Aw, all our guests are awake. Come Grand Breeder, let us join them. We have been under siege for weeks and the dead don’t rest,” Taylor said striding past her baby daddy.

Luke followed after Taylor seeing his women waiting in the other room.

“Silvia, is everything ready for my demonstration?” Taylor asked.

“Yes, my Queen, all 12 Noble Matrons are seated and have been notified of their coming changes,” Silvia said with a bow.

“Then let’s get started,” Taylor said holding out a hand to Luke.

Luke’s mind was racing. Things were moving fast. One second, he was being given a palace tour, the next he was butt naked next to Taylor’s bed, surrounded by Sirens.

“Little much … with so many people watching,” Luke thought eyeing the crowd.

Luke didn’t notice his women in the crowd of Sirens. He nervously took in the room as a panic of getting bitten again challenged his resolve.

“Well?” Taylor asked again.

Shannon recognized Luke’s shyness and whispered to Ruby. A moment later Ruby used her Jinn Noble 'Telepathy' power.

“Come on Luke, You’re the Grand Breeder. You survived a 1v3 Mental Duel with 3 Jinn ‘Mental Casting’ Masters. All in front of 200+ Jinn Nobles. Fucking your Ex in a room of 50 mermaids is nothing,” Ruby thought into Luke’s mind.

Luke looked to Ruby and saw Shannon beside her. They both gave a thumbs up.

“Right … you’re right … this is nothing. ... Thanks,” Luke thought back before taking Taylor’s hand.

Warlock Temperance Brennan crouched in the shadows of a dark alley. It was simple to magically hide in this light. All of Atlanta’s lights came from magic or bioluminescence.

“This stinks,” Temperance thought for the 100th time.

“First, your boss gets a Genie Lamp next thing you know, you’re stuck sneaking around an underwater city that smells of fish,” Temperance thought watching a patrol of sirens march.

As Temperance waited, she reflected on the last bit of news from the surface: After the infamous Warlock Dr. Bludd became an Elder Lich, the magical community stopped calling him by his legal name. Evil Dr. Blood was his new moniker. Unfortunately for Temperance, Dr. Blood’s reputation extended to his assistant. Intelligence circles now referred to her as Nurse Bones.

“Blood and Bones … stupid … he’s the skeleton, not me,” Temperance mumbled to herself.

Just then her target appeared. An elderly siren in elegant robes was escorted out of her house.

“Finally, Singer Dolly is out of her house,” Temperance thought watching the woman enter a floating carriage.

“That old crone better have the item,” Nurse Bones thought as she summoned a bone lock pick.

A moment later there was one less shadow in the alleyway.

“So, you don’t plan to fight the undead army? Instead, we are doing a giant ‘Seeding Ritual’?” Dolly asked confused.

“Yes,” Samantha, Sabrina, and Keyleth all said at once.

“But the Queen said I was to help use her magics to replace our citizen’s need to “sing” for our mates,” Dolly asked reviewing her notes.

“For the last time grandma, we are Sorcerers, magic casters who absorb ambient soul energy when sentient babies are conceived. We will not be facing Dr. Blood in open combat. He is a Warlock, a magic caster that absorbs ambient soul energy after killing a sentient person. It is too risky to fight him head-on,” Samantha said before noticing Dolly nod off.

“Dolly!” Samantha said snapping her fingers.

“Got it, you’re Sorcerers,” Dolly said waking up.

“But I’m confused. Why am I being asked to help cast a giant baby-making spell? The city is under siege? Wouldn’t impregnating all the women in Atlantis render us defenseless? No offense,” Dolly asked looking around at the pregnant bellies around her.

Samantha flared her nostrils. But before Samantha attacked the crone, Keyleth grabbed Dolly’s arm.

“Dolly, you’re the best ‘Rune Singer’ in Atlantis, right?” Keyleth asked.

“Yes of course. All my family members are famous ‘Rune Singers’. My great-grandmother helped Poseidon rebuild the city after the ‘SMITE’ war,” Dolly said proudly.

“Do you support Queen Swift?” Keyleth asked.

“Of course,” Dolly said confused.

“Okay … so if the Queen asked you personally, you would assist her without any context?” Keyleth asked.

“Yes, without question,” Dolly said standing straighter.

“Perfect, we just need you to help amplify a single song by your Queen, no questions asked,” Keyleth said, waving Samantha and Sabrina out of the room.

“Dam, Samantha said hitting the wall.

“The Siren Queen lied about knowing how to cast the full ritual. Now, our success is riding on that old siren’s help,” Samantha complained.

“No, she didn’t lie. The High Singer and our Luke successfully demonstrated the ritual. We just need Dolly to help prepare the amplification runes,” Sabrina said taking a seat on a couch.

“Same thing,” Samantha said taking a seat as well.

“It’s not the same thing. Taylor Swift truly knows one of the most powerful and most prized Life Spells in history. She knows one of the ways Sorcerers used to reach level 30. But don’t forget Taylor is not a Demi-God. She can’t replicate Zeus’s power level. Therefore, of course, she would need help impregnating a giant population of women all at once,” Sabrina said hotly.

“And yes I agree that if we had more time, we could defeat Dr. Blood without Dolly’s help. But you know better than anyone that our spell amplification methods would take too long to prepare. Dolly’s ‘Rune Singing’ is the fastest way we have to amplify the ‘Seeding Ritual’. And Atlantis defenses are starting to fail, time is of the essence,” Sabrina said calmly.

“I guess you’re right,” Samantha said anger fading.

“I know I am right,” Sabrina said before grabbing a coffee cake out of her bag.

"Want one?" Sabrina asked.

Samantha hesitated at first. but eventually took one.

"No need to cut out all sweets. Luke likes his women a little softer," Samantha thought to justify her snack.
